The Young at Heart I want to see is a group of senior citizens singing rock songs. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1047007/

I can't wait to see that. The YouTube clip where they sang "My Generation" is one of my all-time faves!

Hello, everyone.

It looks like a lovely day here. I'm doing some laundry. When that is done I shall get outside for a bit. Living on the East Coast has made me much more appreciative of good weather--something I wasn't when I lived in California.

I just received a very cute card from Dr Elmore, and feel very honored that he would take the time to send one in the midst of all his bug tsuris!

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And even though I slept in - and could sleep in - I probably shouldn't have.  Whatever.

If you don't have pictures from your past to post, go to this site and choose some:

DR JRand, those Olan Mills photos are a crack up...unfortunately, my family have many similar shots in our old circa 1970s photo albums.  :P

I feel so full!

Major brunch today of maple sausage links, lightly fried corn meal mush and scrambled eggs.

I may nap.

I shall now try to de-groggify so I can do the one-page revision from yesterday and move on to the next chapter.

DR td - Well, Mary Poppins schedule on Sunday is 1:00 and 6:30.  It's all about keeping the families happy.  Although, Sweeney really isn't a family show, but at least when you get out, it won't be that close to your bedtime.

DR Cillaliz - There were two rallies going on down at Union Square when I got down there yesterday.  One for Clinton, one for Obama.  It was quite interesting walking around the Green Market hearing snippets of conversations where people were talking, comparing politics.  My group of three included.  Alas(?), the phrase I seemed to hear most often was, "I've gotten off the Obama train."  Of course, the most heated conversations seemed to revolve around the Republican candidates, McCain in particular.

At least people are talking.

I've finished my writing for the day. It's difficult trying to make a lot out of little and this is the most frustrating writing I've done in a long time.

I'm closing up shop, and heading off to the movies. I will be back tomorrow at asome point.

DR CILLA LIZ - last weekend on TCM - YOUNG AT HEART was shown, followed by the original version of the story FOUR DAUGHTERS.

Both movies have power house casts - and both are enjoyable.  The ending for the 50's version was changed at the insistence of one of the stars.

Cilla, this is not your "Young at Heart"  ;D

Spoiler if you haven't seen these films

I saw YOUNG AT HEART before FOUR SISTERS.  When I saw the original I thought it made more sense, never did understand why Day married Sinatra.  I also preferred the original ending.  Was Sinatra the star who insisted?

Heated, as in warmly, or heated, as in roast in hell?
