So...

Here at Ripley-Grier Studios, they have two computer stations set up in their new-ish café area - Butch's Oasis Café.  Well... I was just walking by the computers a few minutes ago after purchasing an iced tea. There was a gentleman(?) at one of the computers.  This gentleman(?) also happens to be one of my "favorites".  Well... When I looked over at him, and at the computer screen, well... Let's just say he was browsing one of those "special interest social networking" websites.  *And with four major chorus/dance calls going on today here, there are a LOT of people walking around.  Including some casting directors and stage directors.

Hey DR der Brucer ~
Who pays for these primary delegate elections?

BUT, if the government (courtesy of tax payer dollars) is picking up the tab for all of this, then I think it is wrong (probably illegal) to exclude some of those taxpayers (i.e. Independents) from the process.

A. Tax funds are used to run elections.

B. "Independents" are not excluded from the process; if they want to vote in the Democrat party primary, they are welcome to do so (but need to know how to ask). If they want to vote in the Republican Primary, they need to plan ahead a few weeks and register (they can switch registration back after the vote if they so choose.

The above system is one that the people's elected representatives established by law.

OH! OH! OH!

My lunch break turned out to be not much a lunch break for me.  The casting agency asked me if I could hop over to another studio on the same floor, and play an audition for another project.  Well... As a result of doing that, I was then requested to come back tomorrow morning at 9:30 to play the final audition for the singer they heard this afternoon.  The singer requested me - and I had just met her - and the director requested me.  *And I'll be done by 9:45, so then I can grab a cab and race over to LaGuardia for my flight to Memphis.  In any case...

The director I played for today was someone quite famous, and the music director I will be playing for tomorrow is most definitely someone quite famous and "to be honored"... and feared.  So...

WOWSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I don't really think my career will be advanced as a result of playing today and tomorrow, but, it really is nice to be wanted.  -Especially after yesterday's somewhat deflating atmosphere.  ??? -Or something like that.

Thankfully, since they're type-ing out the women right now, I have a bit of time to eat, and as well as to plan out my next 24 hours.  And, there's a lot that has to happen over the next 24 hours.

Good.  I'll buy the ingredients at Whole Foods and you can make/bake it!

And, I believe, Whole Foods actually sells lard too.

The new will is signed; the Macbeths get $10.00 for their kindness.  $10.00, no more, no less.

Still no money from my cabaret lady.  Damn!

Wonder what demographic THE PLAY ABOUT THE NAKED GUY is trying to attract?

Probably nerdy accountants, since it's being done at Baruch College, I think.
Great lighting can do wonders.

DR elmore, I find the $10 inheritance funny.  Of course I hope they don't ever have the opportunity to hear the reading of the will.

Money in the mail vibes!

Well, my battery level indicator says it has 15% of it's "life" left, so...

It actually looks like I'll be able to run home after we're done here this afternoon, and drop off my computer, bag and music before heading back into midtown to catch the final dress of Applause.  -And maybe even start a load of laundry too.  *Although, I'm tempted just to hop over to Old Navy and buy some new socks and underwear to pack for my upcoming weekend in Memphis.  We shall see...

I remember lard in the frig when I was growing up.  I don't remember actually cooking with it.

I remember a woman who worked for my family using it as a moisturizer on her legs-YUCK!  I have since read it is a good moisturizer ;D

I really just hope I can control my nerves and blood pressure tomorrow morning.  -At least when I get to Memphis tomorrow afternoon, there's nothing I have to do - I don't start working/playing until Friday morning.  So, I'll have the rest of tomorrow to decompress.  And nap.
