At least when I get to Memphis tomorrow afternoon, there's nothing I have to do

Ahem. I believe BBQ should be on the agenda.

Lauren Holly is one of the worst actresses on television.

Lauren Holly starred in the worst movie I've ever seen (if you can even dignify it by calling it a movie!)---FATWA.

Oh, he is sweet boy! He is a German Shephard mix, maybe collie. He is just so mild mannered and well behaved and gentle. The kids in my family all just adore him and the adults always wonder why my dog behaves so much better then their dog.

He was running loose in Clackamas county and someone there found him and took him in while trying to search for his owners. After two weeks and no luck finding who he belonged to they had to bring him to the Humane Society as they could not keep a dog where they lived. My guess is that he was abandonded...maybe his owner died and the family didn't want to deal with a dog and figured if they dropped him off in some neighborhood he would find a home. That is the only thing I can figure, because surely if he was just lost someone would have claimed him.

2 years, on my way home from the gym, I stopped off at the Humane Society, as I often do just to look around, and I spotted Bosco amongst the other rag tag and rowdy dogs. He was the only one not barking and jumping around. I then went to look at the bunnies and cats and couldn't get this dog off my mind...so I asked to visit with him and then I put a $10 hold on him and gave it a good thought over night and then decided to get him the next day.

When I originally went in to the pound that day I had no intention of getting a dog, or any animal for that matter...but, well, I am sure glad I changed my mind! In all of my life I have never made a better purchase.

I'm not a dog person (I like them, but I wouldn't want one on my own), but I work with A LOT of dog people.  This is a very sweet story and I know a couple of people who have gotten their dogs this same way. :)

If you cook it...they will eat!

Dead is a requirement - cooked is not!

(and I'm not sure just how "dead" are the raw oysters that slide down my gullet)

Can he also have any unused Polident and any Ensure left in your pantry?

I don't use either product so you'll have to leave them to DR MBarnum yourself.

For those that read CABARET SCENES magazine and I know everyone here does........

I have one of my photos being published in connection with an interview with Mr. Jason Graae. Mr. Graae himself requested the photo. (It's with him and Alex Rybeck)

Now my ask BK question.

You recently remembered doing a Marcus Welby MD episode and was curious if you remember how you got it? I thought at that time guest star roles usually went to a member of their rep company. Which is why you usually saw the same actors over and over again in Universal produced tv and film productions.

Also any other info that might help me track down which episode it was? (eg other guest stars)

DR edisaurus - Trust me, my whole BBQ tour is already planned.  Plus a visit or two to The Cupboard - my favorite "meat and three"; Gus' Fried Chicken - truly some of the best fried chicken I've ever had (and it's cooked to order!); and Dinstuhl's Candies for their Chocolate Covered Grapes and Cashew Crunch!  YUM!!!!!!!!

And, yes, part of my daily routine is a 20-30 jog each morning.  If I don't jog, I don't eat.  Well.. Hmm..  We'll see.  ;)

And, yes, I did end up stopping by Old Navy on the way back from the auditions.  -I really don't want to do any laundry tonight and/or tomorrow morning before I head to the airport.

OH!

And as for tomorrow morning...

The audition was off.

Then on again.

The off again.

Then on again.

Then it was off again - and this time they sent over an intern from the office to deliver me a beautifully written handwritten note thanking me for helping them out today, and offering to help them out tomorrow.  Now that's a Good Office.  :)

However, I still got a chance to play for Francesca Zambello today, and I may be playing for Paul Gemignani sometime in the near future still.  :)

It wasn't a guest star part - I'd already done a few shows for Universal and they liked me - they just offered me the part - one scene I think - and I took it because the scene was with Robert Young.  I virtually remember nothing about it, other than Mr. Young wrote me a very sweet note after.

Back from errands.  No mail at all at the mail place, which is disturbing since I'm expecting several things which are now overdue.

Sorry for my errant and truant behavior - I got up later than planned and then had to rush to package up orders and LPs and go to the post office to ship same, which I did.  When I got back, I began the day's writing, first by doing some revisions to yesterday's work, and then mushing on with today's.

And I'm happy to announce that at one-twenty I finished writing a new novel - five weeks and one day from the time I began.  I'm sure I'll futz and fix and add and subtract from today's work, but the book is done, and later when I'm through futzing, I shall print out pages, Xerox pages, and then get them to muse Margaret.

Congrats to BK on the finishing of the new book!! ;D

I get the impression the screenwriters were working from the Austen family and Jane Austen letters that Cassandra didn't destroy.

Were these letters she didn't have access or did she save some of them?  Do you know how many have survived?
