NUMBER EIGHT
« on: February 07, 2008, 01:00:06 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were novel, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're doing number eight right now, and I'll leave whatever number eight is to your imagination.

Sounds like you enjoyed the "Victor/Victoria" movie and the movie-going experience, BK.  I loved the movie and thoroughly enjoyed the Broadway production, also (I saw it on my first and so far only trip to NYC).  I'll have to think about what Julie and/or James movies I've seen and check IMBD.com.

"Good morning, Elan!" I extemporized.

I shall barely make it through the day, I think.

I've had something like five hours sleep, if that.

Maybe I'll nap when I get back from work.

That's the ticket.

"Good morning, TCB!" I said, less extemporaniously (since I'd already said something like it before).

Congrats, esteemed BK, on finishing the book.

(Not extempore at all, since others have already said it.)

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And one final load of laundry is drying, and once that is finished, then I can put the finishing touches on my baggage packing.  And, I think I'm finally packing light for this trip.  -And the reason I know that is because I feel like I need to pack some more "back-up clothes".  Just say, "No," Jo! ;)

DR Ron Pulliam - I believe DR elmore was stating/implying/etc. that Baz's staging of "La Boheme" was set during the 1950s, not originally produced and staged in the 1950s.  Even I know that DR elmore would have not made such a mistake regardless of how much bug spray and Steri-Fab he's been inhaling over the past couple of weeks.  ;)

I've been sleeping later and later each day. Last week I was getting up at 5:30am and so far this week I have slept until at least 6am and today I didn't awake until 6:20am. The alarm never goes off but it's nice to sleep in, so to speak.

It was 64 degrees in New York yesterday. Today the temperature has dropped into the 40s and by Saturday and Sunday it will be in the low 30s

No, this is my usual time on weekdays.  I have to leave for work in about ten minutes.  I did sleep well, thank you very much.  In fact, I was sleeping so well, that I did not want to get up.

Thank you for defending me, DR Jose! I was getting ready to post just that.  Luhrmann's staging was indeed set in the Paris of the 1950s  and it's a lovely production.  I've seen BOHEME productions set in the time periods running from the time of the original Murger novel (circa 1830) to later, from the 1870s to the current City Opera production taking place during World War I.

By the way, DR Jose, safe travel vibes today![move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]

Good morning, all! And a special hello to our DR TCB!

Today the new bed frame arrives, sometime between noon and 5 pm, but there's been no change in my bank account from the Institute's wire transfers so I many be sleeping on the floor another week until the funds arrive to order the box springs.  I hate being poor.  Perhaps the cabaret check will arrive today and I'll flap my arms and fly tpo the moon.

I have a short jaunt to the post office and I will return to work on "The Lady of the Slipper"reports.
