Next, I began watching the second disc of bonus features. The first was a 15 minute interview with her talking about the movie and her working relationship with him. She speaks English very well. Nice to not have to read subtitles after reading them for two hours previously.

DR Cillaliz, be sure to print up all of your email correspondence and file them with your return receipts, etc. You will probably need then when dealing with Dell. I know I did.

The remaining supplements on the disc look lengthy, so I'm not sure I'll get them all finished before AMERICAN IDOL comes on. We'll see.

I finished up the afternoon by skimming through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No Luke or Noah, and they weren't included in the previews either.

Thanks, DR Singdaw!  Won't be long before I'll get to prepare the 2008 version of that feast - Easter's so early this year.

LOL!  No, DR Jeanne, I think I'll just stick with the old stand-by, Honey Baked Ham.

Great news! I just read this in VARIETY about shows returning to production after the strike:

"Dramas moving forward include all three editions of the "CSI" franchise, "NCIS," "Without a Trace," "Cold Case," "Numbers," "Criminal Minds," "Ghost Whisperer" and "Moonlight."

Laffers given a greenlight are "Two and a Half Men," "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Big Bang Theory."

Net is hoping to crank out eight segs of its comedies and six or seven segs of each of its dramas. Newcomer "Moonlight" will likely produce fewer segs."

But they ARE going new episodes of MOONLIGHT which had been iffy as late as last week. I'm delighted with this news!

ARE WE READY?

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
`SHREK' TO OPEN DEC. 14 ON BROADWAY

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

NEW YORK —  Still no actor to play the title character, but "Shrek the Musical," the Broadway-bound adaptation of the popular DreamWorks Animation SKG feature, has its spirited princess, villain, opening date and New York theater.

The show will open Dec. 14 at the Broadway Theatre, with preview performances beginning Nov. 8, Bill Damaschke, president of DreamWorks Theatricals, announced Monday. An out-of-town tryout will be held at Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theatre, Aug. 14-Sept. 21.

No word yet on who will play Shrek or his friend Donkey but Princess Fiona will be Sutton Foster, currently starring as Inga in "Young Frankenstein." Foster has appeared in such Broadway musicals as "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "Little Women" and "The Drowsy Chaperone."

Christopher Sieber, a member of the original cast of "Monty Python's Spamalot," will play the evil Lord Farquaad while Kecia Lewis-Evans will be the Dragon.
"Shrek," which will be directed by Jason Moore, has book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori. It is based on the book by William Steig as well as the movie, which, so far, has two sequels.

Perhaps HHW's Cannibal-In-Residence, George, can mosey to Seattle and review the Ogre.

der Brucer

I was thinking about it!  And I'd also heard/read that Christopher Fitzgerald (who was in Young Frankenstein with Sutton in Seattle) will be in it, also.

I read a review of the Joan Crawford box set, and Warners has transferred TORCH SONG with a widescreen aspect ratio and anamorphic enhancement (the laserdisc was fullscreen). Can't wait now to see how this will affect the campy melodrama of the piece.

I did get a shipping notice for the set yesterday, but it won't be here earlier than tomorrow and probably not until Thursday.

DR Elmore - I think the cabaret lady should hand-deliver that check along with a casserole and a batch of home-baked brownies.

I think she should hand deliver CASH!!

Good morning, all! I slept quite well last night for the first timein over a month.  At 2:34 am I woke to a panic attack that something had crawled across my hand, jumped out of bed, turned on all the lights and looked all over the sheets for any sign of bugs.  Nothing at all.

I must say that I really like the new configuration of my apartment, and I'm quite happy that a lot of needless things have been tossed.  I plan to continue this process for the next month or so, along with the weekly Steri-Fab mopping and daily vacuuming.  And, outside of the current financial woes, the timing for this situation could not have been better in terms of my work load.
And I'll stop and buy the new gallon of Steri-Fab.

Good Lord, elmore, we need to get you laid!
