That's "Vulgate".

Of course it is, but you know those Yankees!

Is anybody here doing BIG BROTHER this season?

What does anybody think of last night's show.

If anyone is doing spoilers my fav is not doing them this time (john from canoe).

But my second fav is http://www.hamsterwatch.com

Dingo is a hoot. But remember there are spoilers!

I recorded it.  What very little I saw of it looked whiny and irrational to me.

DR George, it was worded badly and you don't need to know. :)

Did a few errands then went to Du-Par's and had poached eggs on an English muffin, whilst proofing the first four chapters of the book.

I would never confuse the Naked Cowboy and an M&M.  For one thing, the M&M melts in your mouth and not in your hand.

He should just appreciate the publicity.  Yikes!

And where does the Naked Cowboy melt?

What a good day to stay home! My final filing cabinet arrived along with some storage boxes and my apartment is looking better and better.  DR MBarnum will be happy to know that the new space provides plenty of room for the memorial air mattress on those nights when the fire escape is too exposed to the elements. Now, if UPS would show up, I'd be truly nearly content.

Of course, if she misspelled one, she could just as well have misspelled the other.

The important thing here is that the point wasn't lost and fun was had.  And her use of "Portier" was meant to be "Poitier" not "portiere".  I riffed....

Beyond that, everything is overkill.

Itane!
(oh, yeah!)

You diss me and my typos?!  Take this (some Latin taunts!):

Prospice tibi -- ut Gallia, tu quoque in tres partes dividaris!
(Watch out -- you might end up divided into three parts, like Gaul !)

In tempore praeterito plus quam perfecto de to mox dicent.
(People will soon be referring to you in the past pluperfect tense!)

What a sad waste of taxpayer dollars and Congressional personnel time!

(a steroid hearing reference)

Ironic that the TV was bellowing forth that complaint.
I'm sure there were dozens of other congressional hearings going on today dealing with more weighty topics - it was the medias choice to sensationalize the steroid hearing, and then they bitched because it took so much coverage time. Why, FoxNews thought it was of such vital national import that they missed some commercial breaks.

der Brucer

Of course when the hearings were over, the entire FoxNews studio devolved into complete chaos - Uno showed up! All the staff, anchors, producers, and minions galore, gathered round to pet the pooch.

Uno made a complete ass of his handler/trainer. The gent was trying to get Uno to bark (usually not tough to do with a beagle) - the trainer kept making doggie baying sounds and Uno sat there patiently giving the trainer a steely stare.

Nope.  The room's quite different now.

Guess I'll have to make a trip to NY to see it.  If only Bryan would get invited to interview, & accepted, at some more schools in NY.  I don't think he will be going to the one in East Harlem.

Is the bed against a wall now?

I know that Latin is a fully functional language, but somehow I just can't get past the mental image of people lounging around in togas, exchanging one-liner bon mots!  :)

Try reading plays by Plautus or Terrance !

Remeber there were also the baths where bodily fluids replaced one-liners as the exchange medium.

I'm a Latin from Manhattan
I'm a Scot from Prescott
I'm a Swede from Alamede
I'm a Jew from Timbuktu
I'm a Dane from Coeur d'Alene

I think you're a little Bonkers from Yonkers.

DR SinglariumDawntus (whispering a little louder cause he didn't hear her the first time):

I haven't seen it, George, but I'll put it in my Netflix queue. I was never an AbFab fan, but really liked Dawn French in VICAR OF DIBLEY. Thought she made it all work.

You should see her when she guests on The Graham Norton Show:

WATCH HERE

Show airs on BBC America right after Torchwood.

Well, my friend - and fellow foodie - Michael just called to tell me that he was on his way over to my apartment so that I could take him someplace "new" for dinner, so...  I guess I'm going to dinner.
