Song for the cows

(to the tune of "Five Foot Two")

Four-foot two, eyes of blue
But oh what those four feet could do
Has anybody seen my cow?

Runny nose, hooves for toes
Heifer, yes sir, one of those
Has anybody seen my cow?

But if you run into a four foot two
sporting some horns
Evil eyes, batting flies
You can bet your life no calves were born

But oh the milk,
Oh the cream
Fastest cud you've ever seen
Has anybody seen my cow?

 ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Where else but at HHW??

Sounds like a nice day so far, DR Jeanne!  :)

My little walks around my 'hood don't compare to Jose's, of course, but I like them.

One thing about living on the East Coast--I appreciate a nice, sunny day!

Warning Jeanne, Babes in Arms, the movie is a different animal from the Broadway musical. Many changes were made including the removal of many of the Rodgers and Hart songs

Babes in Arms the Movie

It's certainly fun to watch but it's not what you might have expected.

thanks for the warning, Ben. I've been watching lots of old musicals lately and will watch BABES IN ARMS, if only for historical value, but I am glad you let me know. And MY FUNNY VALENTINE was in another film--was it PAL JOEY? I knew it wasn't new to that film.

PROJECT RUNWAY SPOILER QUESTION

Haven't they allowed four lines in fashion week before?  I'm hoping they call it a draw between Rami and Chris, simply unable to decide, and allow them both to go to Fashion week.

They did last year, for the first time, I believe. I was also0 hoping they'd go that way this year, especially after the first elimination who I have always through didn't deserve to be that far along in the competition. Alas, they didn't do it.

The finals will still be fun.

Someone may have already submitted this, but it was a big part of my childhood (i led a deprived childhood    :'(--no not depraved, well, atl east until not later in life):

I never saw a purple cow;
I never hope to see one.
But I'd rather see one than to be one.

Actually a purple cow would be kind of neat!

Isn't there a drink called a Purple Cow? (Where are all our foodies?)

From Matt H:Thank you.  I checked Edi’s last 500 posts (as much as I can ever pull up) and didn’t find it.

Since DEXTER is moving to CBS, and season 1 will be airing beginning Sunday, we shall be watching.

Sorry you didn't find it, but she did say (type) it. The only thing I had read about THE CLOSER was that it would return this summer. Edi was the one who mentioned July specifically.

I'm so sorry to read that you're under the weather, DR George.

I hate being sick at any time, but for me, being sick in the winter is THE WORST.

So, here's hoping you feel better soon!

Lunch ran long so I didn't have enough time to watch any complete movies this afternoon.

I finished TORCH SONG which I had watched about 1/3 of last night. This must have been a three-strip Technicolor movie because there are a few scenes that have hideous registration and focus problems. The rest looks fine.

Yes, Luke and Noah did have a segment on the special Valentine's Day edition of AS THE WORLD TURNS. Not nearly as romantic as I was hoping, but at least they were represented.

I forgot to check the previews for tomorrow, but the show is still on the DVR so I'll check later when I fire up the cable box again.

And I ended the afternoon watching PROJECT RUNWAY. After reading the comments here, I wasn't really surprised or dismayed by the results. Looking at the last creations, I'd have to say the judges probably did pick wisely to have the most interesting and creative Fashion Week representatives.

I'm very curious to see what these three people come up with for their fashion lines.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if he showed up since the rest of his farm seems to be represented.

In the mail today were two review copies: the Sean Penn-directed INTO THE WILD and the already in release THE INVASION on Blu-ray. Since it has already streeted, I'll watch THE INVASION tonight.

INTO THE WILD doesn't come out until the first week of March, so there's plenty of time to watch that and still beat the release date.

Here's the latest on NBC and Fox's plans for later in the season:

The Peacock on Wednesday said it would begin rolling out new episodes of existing shows on April 3, when Thursday laffer "My Name Is Earl" returns with an hourlong seg; "30 Rock," "The Office" and "Scrubs" will return a week later, on April 10, along with "ER."

"Law & Order: SVU" returns to firstrun status on April 15, while the "L&O" mother ship returns to orbit on April 23. Peacock drama "Medium" began a run of original segs last month.

NBC also made official what's long been expected: Newcomers "Chuck" and "Life" have been renewed for next season, but they won't air any more original segs this season. "Heroes" has also been picked up for next season and is also being delayed until fall, when it will air only originals.

As for Fox, net will bring drama "Bones" back with between four and six originals starting Monday, April 14, at 8 p.m. (paired with newbie "Canterbury's Law").

Also, Fox has indeed asked "House" to shoot four or five more episodes this season, although those airdates have not yet been determined.

Comedy "Back to You" still has two segs left in the can, while "'Til Death" has one more; Fox has made no decision yet on whether either will produce any more this season.

Step, kick, twirl, kick!

That and so much more!

The dance call for Billy Elliott was very cool, very physical, very athletic and very viscreral.  -And, consequently, very sweaty too.  It really was an amazing way to start the day.  It was like 42nd Street, Stomp, Tap Dogs and "American Gladiators" all wrapped into one.  In fact, they even had to modify the combination after the choreographer's assistant "footed" a hole in the wall of the rehearsal studio.  OOPS!!  ;)

...And then after my audition session, I went ahead and headed on down to Chelsea Barber to get my hairs cut.  I got another great cut, and, best of all, there was no wait for a free chair when I got there.  :)

And as for my <giggles>, well...

When I got to the studio, I had a text on my cellphone wishing me a Happy Valentine's Day.  I really wasn't sure who it was from, but the number looked familiar, so I went ahead and texted back, "Same to you."  Then I got another text... And so on and so forth.  Well, after a couple of exchanges - through which I found out the person I was texting back and forth with was in London(!?!?!?) (his number was being routed through a New York office) - it turned out the person had somehow "programmed" his phone to send out a greeting to everyone in his cellphone's phone book.  He was one of the assistant's assistant for a project I worked on last summer.  He was the one who called me to confirm the time and venue.  Very strange, very funny, confusing and giggle-inducing.  At least for me.  ;)

I'm sure there are many double meanings in these posts that I miss. In fact, at first I'd try to correct any double meanings I found in my own posts. Then I decided "WTH" and let them be used as fodder for others.
