My co-worker and I had a delightful time at the book event.  She invited me to be her guest at the Engineer's Club beforehand for lunch and it was nice to be in a downtown venue that's not a homeless shelter.

I picked up my mail and there was a really lovely fan letter from a fellow in Texas, whose favorite film is - wait for it - Spaceship, aka The Creature Wasn't Nice.  Go know.  He sent me two photos to sign, which I did.  The  included letter was very sweet and heartfelt.

As for "Project Runway", well...  All I can say is that it's very hard having a friend who works for the publicity department for Bravo.   :-X

He wouldn't have to be recognizable, of course. He could even take another name--one from a favorite film.

Like what?  "Meet Joe Black"?

And I ended the afternoon watching PROJECT RUNWAY. After reading the comments here, I wasn't really surprised or dismayed by the results. Looking at the last creations, I'd have to say the judges probably did pick wisely to have the most interesting and creative Fashion Week representatives.

I'm very curious to see what these three people come up with for their fashion lines.

I'm very curious to see all four lines.  Quite possibly, they'll all show in competition just as four folks were given the go-ahead to develop a collection.

I'm so sorry to read that you're under the weather, DR George.

I hate being sick at any time, but for me, being sick in the winter is THE WORST.

So, here's hoping you feel better soon!

My worst "colds" were the summer kind.

I am still SO disappointed that I won't get SUPERNATURAL in HD. Last week's show in HD was such a masterful use of cinematography, and I hate missing out on what could be a great HD episode.

Anyway, I guess I'll head down now and clean the bedroom areas before settling in with THE INVASION (one of bk's most raved-about recent movies - NOT) and then prime time TV.

Tomorrow is a big day for our boys.

Craig has an exam for an extremely competitive fellowship program he wants very much.  It would be a wonderful opportunity.

And Bryan has an interview at another university in Chicago.

Vibes to the two sons of the dearest DR Jane.

For any collectoholics and soundtrack fans - I have just listed a humungous number of Oscar Promo CDs I've gotten over the years - I just have no room for these and I never listen to them.  There are some extremely rare items that have never had official score releases, many have more music than their commercial counterparts.

Good Evening!

Well, I had entertained the idea of heading down to Chelsea Clearview Cinemas myself tonight to catch "What's Up Doc?" on the big screen, but... Then a friend of mine thought he had an extra ticket for Joshua Bell's concert tonight at Carnegie Hall - accompanied by the amazing Jeremy Denk - but then his partner ended up getting back into town this afternoon from an emergency business trip (a day early), so...  And just now, for reasons which will most likely remain unknown, I decided to do a "bottle check and clear" of some of the stuff in the fridge door...  -Yes, beer does go bad.  -Yes, champagne does go bad.  -And just how many bottles of salad dressing can one have at one time?!?! And, Yes, bottled horseradish does go BAD!  :-\  But at least now there's a bit more room in the fridge door.

And all I want to do now is sit down and veg and watch TV.  -Besides, I also have a full day of Billy Elliott dance calls tomorrow, so...

Ah, well...

....And that's what Valentine's Day means to me.

;)

I think that's an ad for vegetarianism.

The first meat I stopped eating, was also my absolute favorite meat.....made from these cuties.

Sorry you didn't find it, but she did say (type) it. The only thing I had read about THE CLOSER was that it would return this summer. Edi was the one who mentioned July specifically.

I knew she said something, I couldn't find any mention of it.  That of course doesn't mean it wasn't there, just didn't show up in the last 500 posts when I did a CLOSER search.

Thanks for letting me know.
