There are two more items on the set for me to get through later today: a documentary about Nicaragua today and also the audio commentary featuring the director and the screenwriter.

Bryan called & said his interviews went well. :D  He was also pleased with the school.  He won't know anything until March, which is fine.

I did manage to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS where there was no Luke or Noah. However, they were featured in the previews for next week, so that's something to look forward to.

This just in from VARIETY:

Today CBS issued its first wave of renewals for next season. They include only two presently running comedies: TWO AND A HALF MEN and THE BIG BANG THEORY. SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE have already received renewals for next season.

Also renewed for next season were "Cold Case," "Criminal Minds," "CSI," "CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY," "Ghost Whisperer," "NCIS," "Numbers" and "Without a Trace."

Missing from the pickup list: critical fave laffer "How I Met Your Mother." Net hasn't yet determined the long-term fates of newcomers "Moonlight," "Cane" and "Welcome to the Captain," while "The Unit," "Shark," "Jericho," "Rules of Engagement" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine" also remain on the bubble.

DR MBarnum - glad you're having a good time, and enjoyed your photos.

Regarding Ty Hardin...perhaps you can't get a man with a gun...or can you?  ;)

I was just Googling myself, and discovered that there is a person with my exact name in a place called Cockermouth, UK.

Now really.

Is this some sort of cosmic commentary?   ;)

Is his first name JOE?

We stopped watching this.  Has he met their mother yet?  If not, & the show isn't renewed, I hope they have time to wrap it up.

It's a roller coaster here, I tell ya; my crazy neighbor has been complaining, according to the building management, about the 40 cartons occupying floor space outside my door.  No one else on the third floor has a problem but her.  So, today, around four pm, a local battalion from the local fire dept arrived to check out a complaint about the cartons. They were very nice, as they gave me a summons, and advised me to get the cartons out of the hall by Tuesday, which is the day that I supposedly hear how MU wants to handle getting the cartons to Ohio. Of course the cartons may not leave the premises until a month after that.

So, I will by Tuesdasy have 40+ unwanted cartons taking up space once again in my apartment because a neurotic bitch has to cause problems.  Of course, she denied the complaints after I confronted her, but the building manager told me she had been complaining! Maybe I shokd send her infested bedding.

I've been watching the last two episodes of "Big Shots" and a few other things on my DVR.  I'm still congested, but at least the headache has gone away. :D

Any insights?

DR Ginny - I don't know from London theatre, but I imagine other DRs can give you some insights.

I assume you've checked out the video clips on the Guthrie offerings here?

I have been watching the first season of "Gidget" (which we watched religiously in 1965).  I'm seeing my older sister's wardrobe in every episode!

Although it was mostly filmed on the Screen Gems lot  (Mr. Wilson's house was the exterior, and it was Hazel's kitchen), they do some nice 1965  location shots occasionally.  I actually thought life and high school were going to be that way.  Little did I know.......

Thank you all for your sympathy.  I was outside the apartment taping cartons and carting them into the apartment and she had the nerve to ask me if I needed help!

i wanted to ask her if she ever had seen the view from the roof.
