From Edi:
Quote
Last night, we were leaving a restaurant and there was a wallet, cigarette lighter and camera on the steps outside of the restaurant. The owners looked at the license and said it belonged to a woman who had just left. How do you lose all that stuff out of your purse and not hear it??

That's because she didn't drop the items.  She put her purse down & placed the items on the steps while searching for her keys.  She was then distracted and left the items on the steps without putting them back into her purse. ;D

Cilla, I give the cat dancer as new kitten gifts.  It is a great toy.  We had one cat that loved them so much I had about 5 scattered throughout the house at once.  He would collect them all into one spot of the house & place with them all at once.  It was a riot.

Happy Woody Day, TCB!

Luckily TCB probably won't touch that one with a ten-foot (or inch) pole.  ;)

Just finished my read-through with the student horn player on the Hindemith.  It went swimmingly, I'm happy to say.  He and his mother were somewhat amazed that it went so well, so that makes me happy.  The tempo joke was on me, however--somehow I had failed to notice the MM marking jumps to 144 for the final couple of pages, so I got to play things extra-special fast.  ;)

On this, the last day of my second four-day weekend, I have to report that I have developed a head  cold.  The sinuses are draining and I'm a tad nauseous.

~~~Vibes for Ron!!~~~
They had the Raul Esparza revival OCR on the plane's music on our trip back from NC and I have to say I was thoroughly underwhelmed.
This production gets a scathing [and hilarious] treatment on the latest installment of "Forbidden Broadway."     :D
I am happy to report that I took on zero new assignments in our weekly staff meeting.
More time to post surreptitiously at HHW!  :)
That was it for the photgraphs?  There wasn't even FOOD on the plate (photo from Genghis Cohen).
I rewatched Bette Davis and Miriam Hopkins in "Old Acquaintance" Saturday e'en.  It remains a wonderful movie!  I have to ask myself why MGM has YET to release the remake, George Cukor's "Rich and Famous."
Go to Amazon.com; it's been available since November.
Not I.
Nor I.  I saw the brilliant original; I have no urge to watch what looks like the last strike of the City Ballet Orchestra.
Back from my trip to the library grocery store.
I have now watched the Company clip and will watch the broadcast on Wednesday, but I no longer regret not having seen this when it premiered in Cincinnati.
DR Singdaw - I have become totally addicted to Forbidden Broadway CDs in my car.  I even bought this latest one.
