And I am going to jump in, just because....Allison Hayes was most certainly not untalented...you don't accumulate as many credits as she did by being a poor actress.

I would say her performances vary...some are really very, very good (as I was just thinking to myself upon watching her episode of RAWHIDE last night) and sometimes..not so much. I would call her a competent actress in most instances, and quite good in others.

Good for Petco!  I like their stores & wish we had one here.  We have a Grange Co Op which is very good, and a PetSmart.  I believe both stores often have "pets for adoption" days.  These are organized by the local shelters.

Petco is like the 7-11 of pet supplies.  Their mark-up is horrible.  You are much better off at Petsmart.

Indeed.  "Count Three and Pray" and "Chicago Syndicate" are good examples of her good work, others, as you say....well, vary.

Interesting, we have often found better products at Petco.  Maybe because we are shopping at a Petco out of our area.

The best selection and prices for us is the local Grange Pet Country.

Bosley Crowther in his New York Times review of Chicago Syndicate wrote: "This is a standard melodrama in which the bright spot is Allison Hayes, a tall and agreeable young lady who gives considerable aid to the somewhat battered Mr. [Dennis] O'Keefe."

Mr Crowther was always an aficionado of the Lady Sneerwell School of Dramatic Art. :)

I've never watching this show, but I might tune in to see Penn Jillette!

Priscilla Presley, Kristi Yamaguchi and Adam Carolla are among the dozen celebrities who will compete on the next season of "Dancing With the Stars."

The other contestants include Marlee Matlin, Shannon Elizabeth, Steve Guttenberg, Monica Seles, Penn Jillette, Mario and Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, ABC announced Monday night. Rounding out the cast will be Cristian De La Fuente and Marissa Jaret Winokur.

(Who?)

Marissa won the Tony Award for HAIRSPRAY.

Oh, Elmore, I think her mouth/lip thing that she does during intense scenes is endearing! LOL! I have taken to doing that as well.

DR MBarnum, I adore Miss Hayes and I think she sneers through everything she does.  I have yet to see anything sterling out of her thespian ambitions but I think she's fantastic: the best sneer and bazooms in the biz.

George, congratulations on being cast in SIDE SHOW!  Tell me, will Jeff be playing both twins, or just one?

Fortunately, neither.  But he's cast himself as Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, their next show.

In Norfolk, VA, there used to be a bar called "The Emergency Room".  Across the street, they had a sister restaurant called "The Recovery Room".   :D

Here in Olympia, there is a bar called The Office.

Which is great if you have to call home and say, "Honey, I'll be late tonight...I'm still at The Office!"

George, did he tell you to try not to cough?  I find coughing continues to irritates my bronchial tubes & make the problem worse.

No bronchitis vibes!
