Edisaurus, you would have loved my old photo page with photos and stories of all the kitties we fostered.

Just a semi-random question...

Just what is it about theatres, hotels and office buildings that make people forget how to count and/or the order of the alphabet?

"I'm looking for room 506."
-Well, this is 505, and 506 is right next door to your left.
"How many doors down is that?"

???

You'd have problems at my office building..my office is number 240, it's next door to 220, 238 is around the corner across the hall, right next to 235 which is next to 202.  Don't ask, I have no idea

I sped through tonight's AMERICAN IDOL results show. The first male and first female eliminated were not surprises at all.

The second male and the second female were.

LOST did indeed have a wonderful episode. I also guessed the ending, but it wasn't any great detective ability on my part. They set it up so obviously in the early part of the show.

DerBrucer, I would take off that collar if I were you. A breakaway collar has an elastic piece that will break if the collar gets caught on something. I witnessed our cat jump down and get his collar caught on something. He would have hanged to death if the elastic piece hadn't broken.

I really enjoyed ELI STONE tonight. The young junior lawyer wasn't nearly as annoying as usual and the cases were interesting. I loved the developing relationship of Eli to his brother, and hope that gets explored a lot more in upcoming weeks.

As for The Adding Machine quite a thought-provoking evening of theatre.  And it looked like it was a press night from the number of people with press packets sitting around me, and I recognized some of those people's faces too.  In any case... It's certainly not a "musical comedy" by any means, although there are some genuinely funny moments throughout the show's intermission-less 90 minutes. All in all, it's quite a faithful, fanciful and ominous realization of Elmer Rice's original play.

I think the purebread tabbies might not have white feet and bibs, so we both must have a tux/tabby mix.

Re: The quote that appears in der Brucer's post:

I blame it on the absence of TV shows like "Hart to Hart" in which both Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers "seemed" to be totally in love with one another.

And just when is Season 3 of "Hart to Hart" going to be released on DVD?  I mean, Seasons 1 and 2 came out almost two years ago!?!?!?

The website also refers to the classic tabby pattern as "swirled" and "Bullseye". So swirly is right on the mark! Bullseye!

With all of Jane's nagging, I thpught I better post a flyer at the Market:

I headed it:

FOUND----BROWN MALE TABBY - MARBLED----FOUND

And used these pictures

der Brucer

We did just weigh him - 8.5 lbs (which I guess is small for a cat).

The gal at Wag and Wash noticed some tooth tartar - suggesting age.

Hmmm... That sounds like the numbering system in most of the cities in Japan.  The buildings are numbered according to when they were built, in the order they were built.  So, you could have 101 right next to 578. I remember when I almost went to Osaka with Universal Studios Japan, and ALL the guidebooks said the easiest way to find an address in the city was to 1) get the names of the nearest intersecting streets, then 2) once you get out of the cab, just ask someone where the building is, or at least point to the place you're looking for on your itinerary.  ;)

Depends on the dog! All of mine that I raised from pups are used to food in the dish - they nibble when they want and don't get fat; Fletcher, on the other hand, can't seem to leave food alone and will die at a much earlier age from problems casued by his obesity.

Some dog trainers advocate only letting the dog have access to his bowl for brief feeding periods; dogs so raised learn they better eat it now or it goes away.

Now that the milk had been pulled, his stool is firming up.

der Brucer

Don't worry Der B, if JJ eats too much too fast he'll just throw up,  ;D
