Don't anyone forget, if you already knew, that Disney has a 2-DVD Platinum Edition of "101 Dalmations" coming out next month!

Actually its release date is very close: the first week in March. I only have it on laserdisc since I didn't buy the first DVD release as it was full frame and didn't seem to be any patch on the laser.

This new version is also 1.33:1, but it will have lots of bonus features and I'm assuming a new transfer, so I will be getting it. I doubt it'll be offered to me to review.

Now I'm heading down to take care of some household chores and then get back into the den for more viewing.

I have only seen a few films in this past year but I hope I did see "La Vie en Rose" and "Away From Her'.  Difficult to find better performances than those by those leading ladies - both have now won awards elsewhere.
(Has anyone bothered to check the French awards?)

I did not care for "Atonement" which IMHO lost its way after Act 1.

I thought Mr Depp's performance in "Sweeney Todd' was wonderful.
Perhaps this year should be his.  His Jack Sparrow has been such fun and he was so good in "Finding Neverland".

At least I have no concerns about this year's song nominations.

RE: LOST (no spoilers) and posting about that week's show.

Okay obviously it was not really a fair request. But I do totally understand where DR Michael Shayne is coming from.  I am a huge PROJECT RUNWAY fan and we are 6 weeks behind in Canada.  Luckily everyone here puts spoiler warnings. But i do know how it's possible to see names and such.

And one DR did post a major spoiler without spoiler warning.

I think the most one can ask re: LOST is really to make sure to put big spoiler warnings. And maybe to try to just be careful not to leave major spoilers as one line sentences. I find even if i see the word spoiler. If there is simply one line that says, "joe got eliminated tonight" then i will see that.

Anyhow i'm sort of torn. Because i'm just catching up on yesterday's posts. And i really wanted to respond to something DR RonP wrote. Just know that if i do post about any current show (that i know people are watching). Then i will always try to be considerate and put lots of spoiler warnings.

I'm with Michael Shayne.  I'd prefer NO posts about TV shows ("reality" in particular). I thought that is why so many other sites existed! :)

Yes.  I skip MANY posts to avoid the discussions - but then I usually know which Hainsies are likely to talk about the shows.

Each to his own.

 :) :) :) :) :)

It is an sbsolutely beautiful day here in Tacoma.  The skies are bright blue.  In fact, the bluest skies you've ever seen are in Tacoma.  The temperature could be a little warmer (it is in the 50s), but it is still better than many parts of the country.

RE: LOST and DR RonP's post yesterday.

SPOILER TALK about this week's show.

*
*
*

SPOILER

DR RonP, you were talking about last week's promo.  I think we see different promos here. Or actually sometimes i don't always watch them (for LOST especially). Since they give so much away.
But I did not know anything about them promising to reveal another member of the Oceanic 6.

So if they said they were gonna do that. Then maybe the kid is one of them. But it still doesn't make sense to me. He was not on the manifest. Plus even if he was, he would have been listed as being claire's. But everybody thinks he is kates now (i'm guessing since grandma wants to see her grandson). So since kate wasn't even pregnant on the plane.  Although i suppose anybody born on the island was still rescued. And maybe could be considered a survivor. Anyhow i guess only time will tell. I sort of was hoping that ben and kid wouldn't count so it could be more exciting to learn about the 2 additional members. Plus i'm curious if they say 8 survived. Then who are the other 2 and how/where did they die? WAs one in that coffin we saw in the flashforward?

Hmm, i'm just catching up on the posts.

Vibes to DR Vixmom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That idea of DR Singdaw's re: posting spoilers in yellow is sort of cool.

Also re: DR MattH's oscar predictions. Not that i've seen any of the movies involved. But i'll bet Cate Blanchett wins Best Supporting Actress.

Oh & my dad is thinking of  remarrying. To a woman he's only known/been dating since July.

Ah, don't worry about it.  Gay guys get married after the first night, and it sometimes works.

Oh, boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo.

I will have to miss Lost this week, because for the second week in a row I'm scheduled to work on Thursday night.

I'll be missing Eli Stone, as well.

Boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo.

Yeah, right.

Fortunately, I don't give a booboo about spoilers.  It's just a television show.  If anything, I find that spoilers can increase my anticipation in watching a show, since the clues about what is coming helps me focus on the hows of the story, and not just the whats.

If anything, the flash-forwards that the writers of Lost are just as much spoilers to the story as anything that Internet chitchat provides.  (Dang, they aren't killing off a certain character until at least when?  Dang, indeed!)

And, of course, when I was seeing lots of film, they were all with goddaughter Charlotte so they were mainly chick flics.  They never seem to be nominated.

Back from all sorts of adventures.  I've proofed two more chapters, and will now do a third, plus I've done some work at the piano as well.

Tonight, I may watch this Don Rickles documentary on DVD.

If they have a documentary on the switch from the traditional inking on cels to Xerography, I might be interested.

I'm making fish and chips for dinner tonight.

And cole slaw.  Gotta have cole slaw.
