Cilla, I see you caught my modification.

I'm very sorry about your friend.

Thank you, I'm fine. He and his wife are friends, but not really close friends. He was a great guy and I feel bad for his wife. He was only 66 and recovering from heart surgery he had a month or so ago. He thought the cold air had bothered him, then thought he had to throw up, but when he went into the bathroom he fell over dead.  His widow is only 45 or so and they had been married for 20 years. They were very happy together and my heart really goes out to her.

Has anyone seen this woman visiting the lion she rescued?  Sadly it is at the zoo, but he looks healthy now, and in love.
That's one of the sweetest things I've seen!

Good Evening!

Mmmmmmmm... Malecon!

Me have very happy and full tummy now.  Their rotisserie chicken is truly some of the best I've ever had, and their "green sauce" adds just the right amount of kick and spice to the plate.  :)

-And their Tres Leches Cake was very good tonight too!

bk - Yes, Assassins should run well under two hours.  Of course, if they end up holding the curtain tomorrow...  -Will you have to travel back through any of the Oscar-produced traffic?

The Bollywood movie playing at Valley Theater in Beaverton was canelled for this weekend as the print did not arrive due to plane cancellations...so I will just have to settle for a movie at home...

Tonight's Bollywood film is NAGIN (1954) a fantasy film about a snake who turns into a woman, or vice versa. Either way it is supposed to be a good film.

Stars Vyajanthimala, Pradeep Kumar, Jeevan, and Mubarak.

Does anyone know where I might find a list of the Gerber Babies, their photos and the baby’s names?  I struck out.  I knew one of the 40’s babies and am curious.

I gather that TCB won't be coming to LA to audition - I wish he was!

Unfortunately, I won't be coming to the auditions.  I regret it more than you know, BK.

I'm a little annoyed that I agreed to see a show tomorrow.  Apparently it runs under two hours, so hopefully I won't get into a traffic snag on the way home, but I really don't like being away on such a heavy posting day.  And since there will be at least a two to three hour lag between end of meeting and show, I'll bring my laptop and post from somewhere where I can glom onto someone's signal.

One word of advice about the traffic tomorrow -- Avoid the Kodak Theater.

Are you sure the sauce was supposed to be green?

There have been a number of stories about the rising cost of wheat lately on the New York City TV stations.  If I'm remembering correctly, within a few months time, a sack of flour of has gone from $15 to $40 - which explains the higher prices at some of the bakeries around town.  Even some of the bagel places in town are considering raising their prices for the first time in years.

I think I will go watch Krakatoa in the bedroom.  This is the documentary of the eruption, not the movie.  Actually I think the movie is also kind of fun as disaster films go.  I have never figured out how a big studio, which supposedly has a Research Department, could still release a film called KRAKATOA, EAST OF JAVA, when any encyclopedia would have told them that Krakatoa is actually west of Java.

It is an sbsolutely beautiful day here in Tacoma.  The skies are bright blue.  In fact, the bluest skies you've ever seen are in Tacoma.  The temperature could be a little warmer (it is in the 50s), but it is still better than many parts of the country.

I love temps in the 50s. Cool, but not too cold.

Dear Reader Laura, I am quite certain that if you took a photograph of what you see from your window; it would be one hundred times more effect that any photo I could hope to take.
