I think Funai is going to spring for the labor (not including the $100 "diagnostic" visit yesterday which amounted to the guy saying "Yep, the left speaker's broke [sic]").  But they didn't guarantee it, so vibes that they'll follow through.  :)

T.O.D.

ASK BK DAY

BK. I realize that The Chance Theatre is a non-Equity house, but do they pay any kind of stipend or travel expenses to their actors?  Also, after getting used to the artwork for THE BRAIN on the CD cover, and the original posters; what do you think of the logo design being used at The Chance?

Yes, they pay a stipend - more, in fact, than NYMF paid to the actors.  The artwork on their site is temporary - they're going back to the original.

Had an e-mail telling me that our first read-through is now Tuesday, as the Chance has some rehearsal for some annual thing they do.  It will also impact my Wednesday rehearsal.

All my relatives have arrived.

It is sort of like.....well.....like Rosemary's Baby.

LOL. Good luck with the family!

I have in-laws coming to visit soon. It should be very interesting.

Project Cranberry is very involved.  Don't think I'll be back the rest of the day.

Jeff is a friend of mine....I knew his grandmother.....knew her all my life before I knew she was John Dillinger's half sister.  When someone told me, I couldn't believe it!

That makes the photo and the news more interesting. :)

And with this dearth of postings, I think it's apparent what DR singdaw brings to our daily table!

The only thing I did not accomplish today was the trip to the pharmacy.  In my rush to get Patrick's charts into the Fed Ex and stop at the post office, I forgot.

So, tomorrow morning I'll go before I hit the NYPL Theatre Collection.

I have an hour free before I head off for the movie.

The tv works visually--it's only the left speaker that's buggy.  We plugged our stereo into it so we have yet one more remote to deal with, LOL.

I have been making my way through the Burton/Taylor boxed set, never having seen any of these movies before.  Have done The Comedians and Sandpiper so far (immediately went to the Mad Cd-ROM to relive "Sinpiper" after finally having watched the film), and am now on The VIPs.  Saving Ginny Woolf for last.  :)

I've always found the VIPs a glamorous and glorious soap opera. Not a great fil, mind you, but a very good time. I'm delighted to have such a nice DVD copy of the film now on hand.

I began my afternoon viewing with the second season premiere of DIRT. Still just as guilty a pleasure as always. Sorry that the writers' strike stopped the season at seven episodes and FX decided that would be enough.

I had started rewatching the season finale of BROTHERS & SISTERS last night, and I finished that this afternoon too. Justin going off to Iraq was just as tear-inducing this time as the other half dozen times I've watched it.
