And YES, I want to see THE BRAIN. When/where is it playing? Is the original soundtrack CD still available?

Chance Theater in Anaheim, opens May 2, and plays through June 15.  CD is still available.

I wonder if there is any collector interest in unproduced muscial promotion/demo albums?

I happened upon this:

Cafe Frisco [1966]

1966    Demo Recording
[unreleased]
Authors

E.J. Mate
....   Book/Music/Lyrics
John Everest
....   Book/Music/Lyrics
Paul Green (i)
....   Book/Music/Lyrics
Roy Benowitz
....   Book/Music/Lyrics

It even has a complete Libretto and an Investor's Pledge - estimated production costs $125,000

A full afternoon of viewing for me.

I began with THE SATAN BUG. Very entertaining little thriller. Very 60s. George Maharis at the zenith of his looks. What a surprising cast: Richard Basehart, Anne Francis, Ed Asner, Dana Andrews, many others.

Enjoyed it. But boy does it need a transfer with anamorphic enhancement. The aliasing trying to watch this from TCM was just distracting.

After I finished that, I updated the firmware in my PS3 (what I downloaded off the net last night). Then, to check it out, I watched HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE on Blu-ray. Only got about an hour in; I'll finish it when I go back down. Then I'll start THE DEPARTED.

Next, I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The boys weren't on, but they were in the previews for tomorrow.

To conclude the afternoon, I watched another 10 minutes or so of BLADES OF GLORY. This movie is so bad that I can only stand it in 10-15 minute chunks. Don't know how much father I'll go with it. Maybe once the guys start pair skating together, the jokes will get better. Right now, it's very painfully unfunny.
