My favorite Guy Haines sung song " Spread A Little Happiness   "

Ya know, Mikey, that the man who wrote "Spread A Little Happiness" also wrote in 1947 "Ma belle Marguerite"?

DR BrettySpaghetti - not to put too fine a point on it, but DR George's original post WAS a clickable link that took you direct to Kritzerland.   :)

I will see your fine point and raise you another. DR George's original clickable link was indeed how I ordered it. Perhaps you are reading out of sequence, dear lad.

I suspect that at least a few of the comments re Catered Affair are shills - they reek of it.  If one discounts those obviousl ones, it's gotten both good and not so good posts, so far, not that any of those really mean anything in the scheme of things.

Oh, DR Edisaurus - one more suggestion:

I will shortly be on my way to the Heim of Ana - hopefully a smooth drive, like yesterday, although in order for that to happen Mr. Rothman better not be much longer.

TCB, no need to apologize. My "step-father" makes jokes about that all the time!

Thanks to bk and the gang for your very helpful suggestions. I downloaded a lot of songs and burned them to a CD, which one of the girls picked up from me on her way to a meeting at the church where the funeral will be held.

On a slightly unrelated note, has everybody here seen the ubiquitous Youtube clip of that moppet Connie Talbot crooning "Over the Rainbow" on Britain's "Pop Idol" and reducing the judges to tears? She is the cutest thing EVER.

Actually Connie Talbot was on Britain's Got Talent, where she lost in the final to Paul Potts.

Time to go home.

I'm being interviewed by a local arts publication---a story about doc makers. Ack. I hate that. I'm tired and I hope I can form a recognizable sentence. At least it's a phone interview.

I have a few computer items I need to tidy up. Then, I'll head back down to continue with Harry Potter and then on to something else. I may not do THE DEPARTED until tomorrow night. Again, we'll see.

Well, Matt, personally I hope you don't do The Departed for many years to come.

Isn't the man who wrote "Ma belle Marguerite", the same guy that was in AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (and no I do not mean Gene Kelly)?

Time for me to head to the theater...well, not quite to the theater yet, but I'm leaving work, so have a good evening, all!

But before I go:  IT'S SNOWING IN OLYMPIA!! ;D

George I'm glad you are happy about the snow.  We keep getting weather alerts for a cold front.  Snow had been expected this morning.  I'm pleased to say, so far, it has stayed in the mountains.

Hail in Salem.

Beginning today I have a parking spot directly next to my building. Previously I had to walk to the parkade on Ferry Street. I am very happy with my new parking spot.

Laura was trying to catch up on things that slipped by while in-laws were visiting.

Georges Guetary is the Frenchman you mean. He didn't write "Ma belle Marguerite" but he did sing (and record) it in BLESS THE BRIDE, the show with music by Vivian Ellis, who wrote the score for MR CINDERS which contained "Spread A Little Happiness."

I'm back from a delightful dinner with our DR Jose: pizza and salad.  Very tasty and the company was, as always, erudite, charming, and witty.

I have a bit of orchestration tonight and this week's episode of TOP CHEF.

They left this afternoon. They are very sweet and we had a nice visit. They seemed to enjoy every place we took them.

I'm a third generation Californian (now transplanted, but only after fifty years on my home turf).

My accent is, according to the quiz, Midlands.

OK, like having no accent.

When I was growing up, some of my schoolmates thought I was British!

So, now that I'm on the DelMarVa peninsula, is it these people around me who sound wierd, or is it me?

 ;)

...In truth, I grew up in L.A., with an English accent which I lost over the years.

AHA!!!  Another one!!!

Interesting, two Californians who sound as if they are from the Midlands.  In order to sound like the West Coast I had to mark there wasn't any distinction between the words, most of them anyway.  ::)
