I've had a very full night of viewing, and thanks to the DVR and its ability to record and be watched while still recording, I got my entire line-up of shows watched tonight spilling over only 10 minutes after 11.

I watched KISMET this evening before prime time started. Looks nice and has great sound, but it wasn't quite as razor sharp as I was hoping. Yes, better than the laserdisc and better than the DVD-R I reocrded off TCM, but still not the tip-top in sDVD transfers.

I think this is the first time watching KISMET that I realized how few close-ups Minnelli used in filming this movie. Very, very few.

30 ROCK had a very funny SURVIVOR parody, and the second half of the episode really caught fire for me.

THE OFFICE was the show that had me in hysterics, though. Very funny, painfully funny (as in laughing through awkwardness and pain which is the foundation of this show).

I just love these characters, but I'll be glad to see more of the other office regulars hopefully next week.

CSI had a not very compelling episode tonight. Sad story of the death of a child, but the unraveling of the mystery couldn't have been more rudimentary. The show did set up an obvious story arc for Catherine in the coming weeks.
