Cinerama movies in widescreen on television always look weird to me....when people move around on the screen - toward or away from the camera(s) - the image is distorted or something.

In a press release about the upcoming Blu-Ray edition of How the West Was Won, it says:  "Exclusive to Blu-ray is the "SmileBox" version of the film which presents the image with a unique curvature that virtually recreates the true Cinerama® experience in a home theater."

I'd certainly like to see how that's going to work!

I am imagining a "smiley" curve of the top edge and "frowney" cuver of the bottom edge of the picture.  But...who knows!

DR JoseSPiano - did any of your family comment on your [I would think noticeable] weight loss?

Hmm.. Not really.  Although, the weight loss wasn't that visible to me - at least from the outside.  I have gained back some water weight - which was expected - but I'm still in the "minus" column overall.  No complaints.

How many pairs of your nifty new eyeglasses did you take with you?

Two.  And a set of disposable contacts too.

The Rebate Check will be DD or mailed according to the last two numbers of your SS number:

Direct Deposit: Depending on the last two numbers of your Social Security Number, your rebate should be deposited by:

00-20: May 2
21-75: May 9
76-99: May 16

By Mail: Depending on the last two numbers of your Social Security Number, your rebate check should be mailed by:

00-09: May 16
10-18: May 23
19-25: May 30
26-38: June 6
39-51: June 13
52-63: June 20
64-75: June 27
76-87: July 4
88-99: July 11

Of course the last two numbers of my SS Number are: 97!  I will get mine in time for my birthday in August, maybe.

OH! This is good news. I did direct deposit, so I'll get mine in May. Now that's cool beans for me

Like DR MattH, i was not too thrilled with the idea of unmaking Rebecca a Walker. However i'm not as annoyed about the idea as i was last week. I actually thought that they were doing it to create a new family for her. But now is seems clear that they are doing it because of the great chemistry between rebecca and her "brother".
I'm a bit more okay with doing it for that reason (even though it's sort of weird).
I thought that rob lowe turning down the VP job was kind of interesting too. Although i can't see how the public could vote for that other guy (so unappealing and sleazy). Over the dreamy and wonderful rob lowe!
