Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Your loss.

Pardon, DR Matt H, but i haven't seen it either and when I see the commercials, I long for an epidemic or a tsunami to kill them all! ;)

I wanted to add that I am so jealous that you will be getting a free Criterion set of THE THIEF OF BAGDAD!

Listening to my reissue of Subways Are For Sleeping.  What a great score and what a great-sounding album, most of which is due to the superb producing of Goddard Lieberson.  If anyone hasn't gotten this, I have copies I can sell.

BK, I'm just curious...do you remember how many numbered editions of this title were sold?  I got #130.

Well, one of the first of many rather inane decisions the new head of a company I created did was to forget about the numbering and just sell it as a standard CD release, thereby spitting in the face of all who thought they were getting the numbered, limited edition.  I know we numbered 5000 of them by hand.  The ones I have are all numbered.  When you do that to your customer base, you are on the way to nowhere, at least as I see it.

Soon I will start to get ready for a meal and our final preview - I'll be getting to the theater at six and before we begin the show I'll be hearing what will hopefully be a new and improved band mix, along with a new and improved overall sound.

I'll tell you why I never invested in Lost - because of Alias.  I became a watcher of that show, and then after season two, Mr. Abrams left and the show abused the trust I put in it with a series of incredibly stupid blunders and by the end of it it was so far afield from the way it began I was irked beyond repair, so irked, in fact, that I have never seen the final episode.

I'm actually getting hungry - a good sign.  We're going to Claim Jumper, where I shall continue the lite eating I've done since last Saturday - just soup and a salad.

I am really looking forward to THE THIEF OF BAGDAD. I was kind of hoping it would have arrived already, but so far, nothing.

I did get a review disc in the mail today, something I'm sure you'd be equally envious of: Steve Zahn in WILDNERNESS ADVENTURE, and it came wrapped in a special faux bear-skin wrapper.   ::)

Granted that BIG mistakes were made with ALIAS. I don't know anyone who was a big fan of that show who thought anything except the show went downhill after the first two years.

Isn't it possible, however, that people could learn from their mistakes and do better the next time out? Is it reasonable to hold mistakes against people forever?

Honestly, I wasn't being snide in my comment. LOST is one of the more remarkable achievements of TV in the last decade, and the Emmys and the AFI and the Peabodys certainly have thought so.

And now I have some writing to do, and then I'll head down for my evening of TV entertainment.

Singdaw - you'd know if it was numbered - it's on the bottom of the inlay card and impossible to miss.

Yes, producers learn from their mistakes, so one day I'll probably buy the first season DVD and see what it's all about.

Can you imagine a movie today having such a great and unique line like "Match me, Sidney?"  They simply don't know how to do it anymore.
