I heard about Whoopi Goldberg hosting the tonys this year. Hopefully she will promot the show a lot on the VIEW.  And maybe that coupled with her hosting will make the ratings higher.

Btw, does anyone know why the Tonys are on Father's day (june 15th) vs the 2nd sunday in june?

I am really curious to see what will happen on SURVIVOR tonight.

The previews last week showed everyone trying to get Erik to vote with them??? I can't really figure out why this would happen. Unless he wins immunity again. I mean won't cirie/amanda/parv stick together?

I suppose cirie could decide to instead team up with natalie. But since she doesn't really know her. And since cirie prefers a sure thing i can't see why they wouldn't just a) vote out erik and b) stick to the favorites alliance of cirie/parv/amanda.

Unless amanda and parv decide they'd rather have erik than cirie. But i don't see that at all.

So is the preview just misleading?

Dear BK -

Take DR Jose to a Claim Jumper.  Cheesecake Factories are everywhere.

Ditto---my thoughts precisely!

My DH and I watched a PBS documentary about ice cream last night. Some of the shops were in the D.C. area and we were both betting that DR Jose had been to them. Can't remember the names, though.

What is missing is "context".  We don't know what might have transpired before the scenes you saw.  Erik might well win the immunity idol.  Amanda may need to pull Erik out of the clutches of Natalie and level with him about what is going on behind his back.

Miss Blue Moon's pen went home with my cousin yesterday, so I think I will plant a nice flower garden where she used to run. :)

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

-Just wanted to cover both coasts.  ;)

After getting one of Robek's Açai Bowls, I just went ahead and kept walking down Hillhurst to Hollywood Blvd... Over to Vermont... Up to Los Feliz Blvd... Then back to the apartment.  A very nice walk.

DR JoseSPiano - what happened to the corned beef hash plan?

Well... I almost hopped on the Metro while I was out walking - it would have been a ten minutes ride down to where The Pantry is, so...  However, I think I may be heading there for lunch today instead.  However (once again), I notice that they have Roast Beef Hash listed as a Friday Daily Special, so..  We shall see.

*I do need to head down to Union Station to get my weekly pass for the Metro - they start selling them for the following week on Thursdays - so, I may just do the Olvera street food scene today.  But again, we shall see.  ;)

**I'm also meeting up with a friend of mine tonight for dinner - we worked together years ago - so I need to ration my food intake today.  ;)

OH!  I've seen that documentary, and I do recall those place - but, I, too, can't remember the names... And, actually, I don't think I've been to those places either.  -Although, I think there was one listed in Georgetown, and I may have been there.  I think.  ???

Oohhh... My friend is having major car issues this morning... something rattling in his exhaust system, and a just-discovered dead battery... So... I guess I'll be hanging out here for a while until AAA arrives.

OH!

DR edisaurus - Was that "The Ice Cream Show"?  If so, I have been to Carl's in Fredericksburg, VA, for their frozen custard.  So worth the side trip off of I-95 during my trips back and forth between Richmond and DC.

RE: CAMELOT  (either not being on tonight or people having too many other shows to record tonight)

Check your listings.I'm sure many PBS stations have it but at different times.

For instance in my tv it is showing tonight fom 1am-3:30am. and i see it is also on on saturday.

Interestingly...or not...it turns out the local PBS (KQED) is NOT showing it any time between now and Monday.

Yes and No.

I'm mainly out here right now to not be in NYC for a couple of days.  I still love my Big Apple, but some time away is always a good thing.  "Food" is just a vacational hazard, so to speak.  ;)

*There are some funky shops I've been reading about too, and I also want to check out the area around the Disney Concert Hall since it was just being developed/finished the last time I was out here.

Any chance you might visit any "famous" cemeteries?

I went out to purchase a few groceries at lunch time.  While I was out, they had a fire drill in our office building.  Since I have been "volunteered" by my boss as a fire marshall for our group, it was not good that I was not there.  But we had been told that they would avoid holding the drill during the lunch "window," so how was I to know?

Besides, they haven't given me my promised orange vest for such occasions.   ;)
