Do you get to wear a fireman's hat?  Those are neat-o.

DR JOSE - I think it is against the law to walk in Beverly Hills.  If you visit Rosalind Russell and Holy Cross - Miss Allison and others are nearby.

Miss Blue Moon's pen went home with my cousin yesterday, so I think I will plant a nice flower garden where she used to run. :)

That is a lovely thought, and it should bring you comfort.

I think you have to choose between a hat or a vest.  I don't think you get both.  :(

Yes, and it should include some Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds!   :)

Yes, actually.  I also want to walk around Beverly Hills since I only drove through it the last time I was here.

Then compare the coleslaw since you will be near Nate 'n Al'ss ;) (be sure to make ask them to stir it first).  Look around, you might see someone famous, though most the time these days the famous meet for an early breakfast.

I heard about Whoopi Goldberg hosting the tonys this year. Hopefully she will promot the show a lot on the VIEW.  And maybe that coupled with her hosting will make the ratings higher.

Btw, does anyone know why the Tonys are on Father's day (june 15th) vs the 2nd sunday in june?

Seems to me someone made a BIG mistake putting the Tony's on Father's Day, unless it is on at the same time as football.

Evelyn Nesbit, Lawrence Welk, and Bing Crosby (a favorite of DR Megan) are at Holy Cross in Culver City as well.

I assure you DRJrand, there are plenty of walkers in Beverly Hills.

Speaking of Beverly Hills, DR Jose if you need a cake for a special occasion go to Hansen’s Beverly Drive.  At least look at the cool cakes if you walk past the shop.  The original bakery is on Fairfax.

If you need flowers, go to Sonny Alexander’s on Pico Blvd.

Choose the HAT!!  8)

Wow - the movie that inspired the title of today's notes is SIX HOURS LONG.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051082/

It was remade in 2006 though, but may not have been released.  Very strange.

DR edisaurus - Was that "The Ice Cream Show"?  If so, I have been to Carl's in Fredericksburg, VA, for their frozen custard.  So worth the side trip off of I-95 during my trips back and forth between Richmond and DC.

Yes! That's the one! We htought you might have been to Carl's...home of the "swirl"!

The best thing I can say about the seminar I attended today is that it ended 2 hours early.

Actually, I could have taught it and the 2 women I ate lunch with begged me to take over the podium when we reconvened.  Instead, I gave them the schedule of the free programs I do here at the library.  Today's event was anything but free.

Oh, well, at least now I know not to promote future installments of this particular offering to my constituents.

Moonflowers! My mom grows them every year (SWW, too, IIRC) and just called today to see if I would like some of her seedlings when she comes over on Sat. to celebrate Mother's Day. I'm cooking breakfast for her and her partner, and then taking them to the Conniseur's Garden Tour...8 of the best gardens in Atlanta.

I've always wanted to go, but it always clashed with Mother's Day. This time we can go on Sat. Hooray!

Actually, one of them tried to crash today's session, but I did not give him the schedule of my free events at the library.

Or one of  Dr. Frank-N-Furter's hench-tarts.

Weren't they also in Airplane together?

That was Ethel Merman and Lloyd Bridges.

What goes on on Father's Day that the Tony Awards will suffer from?  They've always seemed like any other Sunday to me except for taking dad out to lunch.
