I'm curious did anyone have any good pranks played on them this year?

I really pay attention to most things I hear this day.  But I do love to try to play pranks on others.

I've always been very entertained by "The Greatest Show on Earth"!  It's colorful and tuneful and dramatic and suspenseful and a whole lotta fun!

Hey!  In many ways, "The Ten Commandments" affects me in the same way!  :D

I saw the dvd of House Of Fog And Sand yesterday.  I won't give away the ending.  But I wish they had gone in a different direction.  My sis was watching with me, and she had read the book.  And she didn't remember some of the stuff from the movie happening in the book.

Very good movie.  But it got too crazy for me at the end.  And watching one of the deleted scenes (it seemed like an alternate ending) made it seem like they were thinking of going in an even stranger direction.

These Foolish Things; Fools Rush In, and a Vic Damone song, What Fools We Mortals Be.  And what about There's Always a Joker In the Pack?

My favourite April song:  I'll Remember April (particularly the Gordon MacRae)

(By the by, elmore, I read your interview and really enjoyed it)

My most foolish thing...probably turning down offers to direct...

Dan (the Man) what is the story behind your picture?

Jennifer, thank you.  I am really puzzled as to why the tour is passing us up.  We have some good theater here.  I would have expected the show to be at the Ginger Rogers Craterion Theater in Medford.  Needles to say, Iím very disappointed.

Danise I hope your tooth can be saved.  GOOD VIBES!

I know Iím an expert at doing foolish things, just canít think of one now.

One April Fools Day I called Keithís office & left a message for him to call Mr. Lyon, leaving the number of the zoo.  Not an original thought but he did find it funny.  The joke turned out to me on too since he tried all day & only got a busy signal.  It wasnít until he got home & I began quizzing him did he get the joke.  Zoos must dread April 1st.

JRand - Where did you get that Lucy info?  Was it from some website?  If so, URL please.

Thanks.

DR Jane: How far are you from Portland?

I think the tour is only doing major cities right now.  I wish it was coming near me. :(

Dan (the Man) what is the story behind your picture?

Whaddaya mean, "what's the story?!?"  Are you insinuating that it couldn't be a picture of me? Hmmmm???  >:(

Actually, it's my April Fools joke.   :)  I went out on Google Images and grabbed the first good-looking guy I came across.  Which generally gets me into trouble when I do that in my day-to-day life...

Jennifer Iím 4Ĺ hours from Portland.  If we werenít going to L.A. next month I would try to go since I always enjoy an excuse to visit my son.  Iíve done so much traveling in the last year I would rather wait on my L.A. trip but we should visit Keithís mother.

For the past five or six years, I've spent a week during the summer or fall at  the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.  Omega is a sort of holistic learning center/retreat/spa/spiritual center that's located along a small lake.

Dan (the Man),

I just assumed the pic was of you at the Omega Institute.

To tell the truth, after a week at Omega I do come away feeling as great as the dude in the picture looks.

Jose - Who is in the DC ELEGIES?  Is it a local cast?  The NY cast featured Betty Buckley, Carolee Carmello and more.  I went because of the cast but found the material wonderful.  A lot of it was done in the Finn concert this week.
If I may: Here's the review from the Washington Post..  Donna Migliaccio is an on-line friend of der Brucer's and mine, a wonderful person and quite talented, not to mention one of the founders of the Signature Theater.  (She also appeared recently as Domina in the ST's production of AFTHOTWTTForum, and in their revisals of Allegro and Twentieth Century.)

Most foolish thing I've ever done: said "no, thank you" to Harold Prince, not once - but THREE, count 'em, THREE times. Third time's the charm. He never asked me again... Oh, if I knew then what I know now.

Of course we are all dying to know:  What was the question?

Thanks for asking, Jane.  He is bucking up.  Physically, he has had a lot of "down time" in the last two weeks.  Although he has had some high-activity days--cleaning the house from top to bottom, for example--he is having to sleep a lot more than usual, which frustrates him.

Hasn't yet visited Mom's grave, which may help bring closure to things.  Other than that life is suprisingly like it was BI (before incarceration), for which we are both thankful.

And one other observation.  Reflecting on the Nature of People.

When he was first arrested--two years ago--and held overnight without medications for arraignment, the one angel who appeared was a young homeless man who helped him get through the ordeal until he was released--and then mysteriously disappeared before we could offer him a ride and a thank-you.

For the last month, when those who are sworn to relieve human suffering and minister to the sick showed a complete lack of compassion, the one person who served as friend, mentor, psychotherapist, counselor and personal aide, the one person who helped keep him sane was a convicted murderer.

It makes me rethink all my prejudgements of people.

Say, did everybody see the big news on today's business pages?  Xerox Corporation and The Wurlitzer Company announced a merger.  According to a spokesman, the newly formed company will manufacture reproductive organs.

WFO it sounds as if Joe is doing better than I might have thought considering all he has been through.  With spring in the air soon he should be sleeping less.  For now Iím sure he needs as much as he can get.

Your stories of the people who helped Joe are very moving.

I think I said "no" to Edward Albee three times, but I don't think the offer had anything to do with theater.
