Bruce was the gas man new?  Is he working strange hours?  Maybe he was the one creeping around Panni’s house last night.

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]Sandra Sandra bo Bandra Bonana fanna fo Fandra Fee fy mo Mandra Sandra![/move][/size]

Come on everybody!
I say now let's play a game
I betcha I can make a rhyme out of anybody's name
The first letter of the name, I treat it like it wasn't there
But a B or an F or an M will appear
And then I say bo add a B then I say the name and Bonana fanna and a
fo
And then I say the name again with an F very plain
and a fee fy and a mo
And then I say the name again with an M this time
and there isn't any name that I can't rhyme

Arnold!
Arnold, Arnold bo Barnold Bonana fanna fo Farnold
Fee fy mo Marnold Arnold!

But if the first two letters are ever the same,
I drop them both and say the name like
Bob, Bob drop the B's Bo ob
For Fred, Fred drop the F's Fo red
For Mary, Mary drop the M's Mo ary
That's the only rule that is contrary.

Okay? Now say Bo: Bo
Now Tony with a B: Bony
Then Bonana fanna fo: bonana fanna fo
Then you say the name again with an F very plain: Fony
Then a fee fy and a mo: fee fy mo
Then you say the name again with an M this time: Mony
And there isn't any name that you can't rhyme

Every body do Tony!
Pretty good, let's do Billy!
Very good, let's do Marsha!
A little trick with Nick!
The name game

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SANDRA![/move]
[/b]

And a belated happy birthday to Keith!

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]Keith Keith bo Beith Bonana fanna fo Feith Fee fy mo Meith Keith![/move][/b]

I'm feelin' crazy now.  Sombody stop me!

I'll do a "sort of" fill-in for der Brucer here and draw your attention to something that's simply TOO GOOD not to read:

(Does anyone know why I'm not getting the entire URL as a hyperlink?????)

I live in a guest house with lots of exotic plants, a pool, etc. back here. Right outside my door is a big potted plant. I've placed in the planter the various tennis balls and baseballs that Wussburger (aka Abie) has gathered at the park over the last few months. When I came out this morning, the balls were all over the yard. The plot thickens!  :o

AUDITION is brilliant, bk! ( I love that word. Makes me feel quite British. Pass the crumpets, my good man.)

Hey, if your link doesn't go through, when you modify it, highlight it and click on the hyperlink icon (the 3rd one on the bottom).  It will shorten it and it should work.

Fans of Big Band music of the 40s will want to take note that Harry Babbitt, the lead singer with Kay Kyser's band has just passed away.

bk - loved your audition parody... speaking of parody's, I posted the following question - with the importance of educating our youth - yesterday and I believe it got lost in the photo issue.

I've been talking to my classes (3-8 grades) about song parody's (after we just got down talking about song "covers") and one third grader asked if someone - like Weird Al or someone like that - did a parody of a song, does that person need to purchase the rights to the song that he/she is doing the parody of.  You're the only person I could think of to ask this question.

Good morning.  First Mr. Gas Man knocked on my door at seven twenty-two so I could let him in the back to read the meter.  Then the singing bird decided to do its cabaret act this morning, and sang the entire score to both Wild Party musicals, and if you think you can sleep through that, think again.

Last night I dreamed I was at Manderley.

In my dream (which I probably dreamed because of all the dream posts) Blake Edwards called me and said we'd be meeting at the Bo-Kay Theater to see a really good double bill of two older movies.  I did some research and found out the Bo-Kay Theater was in Watts and I called Blake and told him.  Then I was suddenly at Blake's house chatting with him and Julie.  I told Julie I'd just seen her new movie.  She said she hadn't made a new movie.  Then it turned out that the double bill wasn't at the Bo-Kay it was at some theater in downtown LA, next to a Metrorail stop.  I suddenly was down there checking it out, but it still looked dangerous.  I peeked in and they were showing that Richard Thomas James Dean movie from the seventies.

That is what I remember.

You mean "9/30/55"???  Oh my God, that is a nightmare!

Matth, have to agree with you about LaToya.  Fine voice...but I somehow just feel I seen it so many times before.

Jennifer, who I've always thought has given strong, solid performances and gotten especially strong in her last few outings has never seemed a crowd favourite.  It was not her first trip to the bottom three. She'd been there before when people like Camille and others remained unscathed.

Still it was embarrassing when you've got three women who are pretty much heads and shoulders above the "B" group and all three were the lowest vote getters.  Poor George looked devastated when he found he had picked the wrong group and I thought Fantasia show a lot of class in her send-off to Jennifer.

Favourite Disney tune from my favourite Disney movie:  "When I See An Elephant Fly" from Dumbo.

Has anyone mentioned the Pimp's Song from Snow White.  You know the one:

Yo, ho!  Yo, ho!
It's off to work you go!
...

Actual favorites:

"Kiss the Girl"
"A Part of Your Word"
"Pink Elephants on Parade"  (Barbara Cook does is wonderfully on her Disney album.)
"Feed the Birds", one of the most beutiful songs ever written, and you can tell the Sherman Bros. I said so.

And speaking of Julie Andrews, perhaps she and Blake are invading BK's dreams because a little bird (that she fed, of course) told her he's been talking to Tony Walton of late.  Maybe?

And speaking of Julie Andrews.

Two too-good-to-be-true stories she has told in interviews:

1.  In an early audition she had learned "Indian Love Call" from the sheet music and innocently sang it,  "When I'm calling you, double-O, double-O..."

2.  She and the hubbie were in the Alps, walking all alone on a trail, and Julie, feeling the joy of the moment began singing "The hills are alive..."  only to round a corner and come upon a group of English tourist standing by a bus with their mouths agape.  It evidently wasn't include in the broshure.

Hi everybody! It was really nice to see all the birthday wishes and/or vibes after an hour and 15 minutes of listening to my English teacher talk about existentialism. She's the one who wears the turquoise cowboy boots. No boots today, but she wore these three-inch long watermelon earrings.

Hey, I heard a really funny joke today:

How many existentialists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Two. One to screw it in, and one to observe how the lightbulb itself symbolizes a single incandescent beacon of subjective reality in a netherworld of endless absurdity reaching out toward a maudlin cosmos of nothingness.
