That's what Mr. Pest Control Man was hoping yesterday, with the three buzzing flies, but he could never pinpoint it.

Well, I had a very full weekend what with going down to JMU and finding my apartment for next semester!!!  And I slept over with some friends, and we went to a concert and "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" which was a stunning and even moving conclusion to what, I think, is a minor masterpiece.

It IS hard to choose favorite Garland movies and songs, but for movies, I'll choose The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me In St. Louis, A Star is Born, Babes in Arms (because I want to choose something from the Mickey and Judy days), Summer Stock and For Me and My Gal.  My all time favorite Judy song is "The Man That Got Away" but I also love "The Trolley Song," "The Boy Next Door," "Get Happy," "Lose That Long Face," "Born in a Trunk,"  "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe," etc, etc, etc.

Good vibes to Kelsey!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BK, I shall have to see "The Driver," if only for Isabelle Adjani.  Looooooove her.

Hmmm...several months back I wrote to Mr. Peter (star of Lil Abner on stage and on screen) Palmer to inquire as to his availability to do an interview. Well, I recieved a letter from his yesterday...well, not really a letter...it was simply an autographed index card. LOL! Which I did not ask for (but will enjoy adding to my autograph collection!).

Me thinks Mr. Palmer doesn't read his fan mail very closely!

Here is to hoping that he comes across the letter again, rereads it, and realizes what it was the I actually requested of him (because I think he would make a wonderful interviewee)!

Ooohh--Peter Palmer is part of the answer of the trivia question I posed here years ago that no one was able to answer.  Those with long memories now have an important clue, if not a life.  :)

In fact, I'll give you the complete answer and you can then recreate the question in your own minds:

Peter Palmer and Jackie Gleason.

I know you're all breathing a sigh of relief.

Love Peter Palmer.  Mr. Pest Control Man is coming back between 12 and 2 to patch up the holes he put in my walls.  Perhaps at that time he'll discover something new.

My mind isn't quite awake yet, despite a walk, coffee, shower... Had a bad night's sleep, finally drifted off  and was awakened at around 4 by Wussburger (aka Abie) who was sleeping comfortably in his bed, but snorring so loudly the walls were practically shaking. He usually doesn't snore, so I don't know what was going on. -- But I'm TIRED.

Enjoyed the bit of chat I was able to attend last night.  So glad to hear that Jose is on the mend!

According to Playbill On-Line PBS will broadcast the Julie Andrews Cinderella. The link to the article is below. I didn't see a date for airing in the article. It's showing just before the production is released on DVD. They are looking for a color copy but said if they only have black and white then they will release it that way. "Andrews will also narrate the upcoming six-part documentary "Broadway: The American Musical." The six-hour program will examine the Broadway musical from the turn-of-the-century to today, including a spotlight on the new Stephen Schwartz musical Wicked." (this from the article at POL). Hope they don't play Cinderella during Pledge Week, although it was originally on CBS, (correct?) so it probably had commercials in 1957. Maybe they will show the entire production, including the commercials from that time. That would be fun.

The 6 part history Julie Andrews is narrating sounds very interesting... does anyone know if it already has a set date for when it will begin to air?

I don't know about any of the rest of you, but I have been quite "unwell" since reading about BK's dead rodent problem yesterday.

It's not the thought of a dead rodent (the best rodent IS a DEAD RODENT) that bothers me, but the news about the odor and the flies.

Apparently, the dead rodent has become a maggot nest and the flies are hatching from the carcass.

The finishing touch for me, though, was the news that the stench was horrific, that the deodorizer had not kicked in, and then, just a few posts later, BK was eating a tuna pasta salad.

Dear Readers, I nearly fwowed up.

And I'm still near-gagging at the thought of it.
