Oh, Matthew!  Just saw your post that you are playing The Ghost of Christmas Present in a production of A Christmas Carol.  It just so happens that I, too, am currently in rehearsals for the same role!  Congratulations to my fellow yuletide spirit!

Our version is an adaptation done by the artistic director of the regional summer stock company I've worked with the last 6 years (actually, it's the summer stock company that is producing this show... they do a fall play and a Christmas show in addition to 3 big summer musicals), and it has numerous Christmas carols sprinkled throughout.  In addition to Christmas Present, I'm also playing Mr. Fezziwig, employer of Young Ebenezer.

Cowboy U is one of those reality shows - you know, city slickers go to cowboy school for twenty days or something.

DR JED - I played Fezziwig a few years ago, that was tons of fun, too.  Not as many lines and I shared the song with Mrs. Fezziwig.  I've never had to memorize a lot of lines before, and a song for that matter, I'm looking forward to it.  I'll keep you all posted on the process.  It won't  be as fun as the stuff S Woody's writes, but I'll try!  All this talk of chinese food is making me hungry for some.  DR Maya, I hope you find some also!   :D

I know and I followed what Mr. Mark Bakalor said in the tech area as well. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have some other photos that I would like to share as well if I can get it to work.

The Christmas Bride was a musical written for theatre companies (and audiences) who are tired of A Christmas Carol and might want to do something else based on a Dickens Christmas story.

NoelKatz@aol.com for more info.

All this mention of Chainsaws reminds me that we reunited most of The Chainsaw Boys in the audience of Our Wedding - the musical: Bethany, Leo, Matt, Michael and Miriam.  I'd run into Karen on the day of my bachelor party.  Mike Bencivenga couldn't make it, since he had to attend a film festival in Austin where they were making a big fuss about his wonderful film, Happy Hour

I'm with WEL: Can't get used to the new board.  Sorry.

Tom from Oz:  I appreciate your posting.  I'm so glad you got your flag hoisted.  It looks quite lovely!

Sorry to read about the computer problems.  Perhaps Magnus and Fosca know something about it that they're not telling you!

And if you have any unexpected monthly expenses on your credit cards, you'd better do a search of the house for dog toys!  I've been suspicious of Miss Vickie for some time.  Her toy box always seems full and she's very attentive to it.  Cat slobber on all of them!

It has been a long week here in Oakland CA.  I'm looking forward to our own changeover to standard time this weekend. We change Sunday morning at 2.  An extra hour's sleep will be wondermous!

Just out of curiousity - what is it that you can't get used to, Noel?  The look?  The feel?  If you just stick with it you will be fine.  No, it's not what we had, but I find this more fun in a way, and  I was actually more worried about the change than any of you.  I find it no different, in fact, in terms of how I read the excellent posts, their content, etc.  The only thing that's different is the look and the feel and that I got used to instantly.  But, as I said, I know it will take others longer, and that's fine, as long as they stick with it.  The funny thing is, one tends to enjoy what one is used to - if we'd always had this board and then tried to make the change to something else, I guarantee you we would have the same problems and confusion.  However, the fact that so few ARE confused, is heartening and pleasing.  Once you have the hang of it, just go with it.  Forget everything else and just enjoy our new look and feel in terms of posting.  All else remains the same.

DR MShayne (i.e. MDS)  Since I was just cast as Fagin in Oliver, I thought your reference to the food was very funny.  Sorry I didn't mention it before, but by the time I worked my way through all the posts I forgot what I was going to write.

Jed  Thanks for the tech help.  And congratulations to both you and Matthew for being cast in Christmas Carol.  Is that being done in Levenworth?  What are the dates?

Oh yes, the Topic of the Day:

Italian:  Lasagna (my own) or Seafood fettucine.
Mexican:  Arros con Pollo
Chinese:  Schezuan chow mein

TCB - Glad to see you are now bolding, italicizing, and underlining to your heart's delight!  Yes, the production of A Christmas Carol I'm in is indeed in Leavenworth.  We run the first three weekends of December.

What theatre company is your Oliver with?  And when are your performances?

Jed:  I am doing Oliver for a small company in Gig Harbor called Encore Theater.  We play Dec 12 through Jan 4.  Nothing like whores, thieves, drunks, and murder to put people in the mood for the holidays.

I'm with WEL: Can't get used to the new board.  Sorry.

I, too, prefered the look and simplicity of the original version of HHW, but I know that I'll get used to the new version...mainly because it's a done deal and I have no choice (other than to leave and never come back, which is not really an option).  So, just keep telling yourself (as I do myself):

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%] ;D  C H A N G E   I S   G O O D ! !  ;D[/move]

Ooo!  The smiley face glows, too!   ;D

DR JRand--

What is the history of 1757 N. Orange Grove Drive in lovely Hollywood, California?  I sometimes am in that part of town.  If you like, I can make it a point of passing by.  But I need, as they say, motivation.

All right, Jennifer.  I've posted your summary via messaging.

I wouldn't post something here that might be a spoiler for someone.

I just needed to know if you wanted to know how it ended.

We get a repeat on Sundays of "Smallville," "Everwood," "Gilmore Girls" and one other show

Yeah I forgot the WB does the repeats.  Once the baseball ends, Fox might do some of that too. But right now, no repeats. Although my sis does get the WB. But Sunday is a crazy tv night!

Thanks for the summary. I appreciate it.

BK asked what people don't like about the change.

I'm getting used to it and like it fine.  But the other board was easier to read, and faster. On this board i find it takes so long just to read the notes and get to the place where you post. I know it's only 3 clicks. But it takes quite a while to do it.  Also the posts are so spread out.  I think I must be weird. But while I'm posting, I actually really like (looking under the message box) and reading the posts all condensed. It goes so much faster :)

I guess nobody wants my karma!

Why is the quality so good on some of the photos and not .............. I know, Tech Support.

Hey how come Noel has no karma?

Who can give out the karma anyhow? (besides BK and Mark and people getting 25 posts).  And do you guys have unlimited karma giving abilities?

It's funny everyone was so happy this morning at the thought of getting some. I wanted some so much and I didn't even know what it was. But i definitely like it.

Hey isn't there a 3 day rule or something (you can't get more for that long). That sucks. Is there a reason for the rule (other than that you won't have to listent to me beg for 3 more days :)

Now if my family were even close to being that interesting, I may find holiday dinners a bit more enjoyable!  :)

And, TCB, as I said, I've actually enjoyed the photo carousel.  Never know what's coming next.  I've dubbed the most recent one (at least as of two minutes ago) with the red tie your "Captain Kangaroo" pic.  My apologies if you've heard that too often (or if once is too often!).

And in five minutes, a smile.
