I will have to ponder the 60's song question...many come to mind, but I must double-check dates before I post, lest I appear ignorant and foolish. I'm famously bad when it comes to remembering things like dates and names and where I parked my car at the airport.

So many sixties songs - no way to list all of my faves:

Johnny Get Angry, Sealed With a Kiss, End of the World, Lollipops and Roses, Go Away, Little Girl, Michelle, the Bacharach/David songs, Autumn, In My Life, She Cried, A Taste of Honey, Downtown, I Know a Place and all the other Petula/Tony Hatch/Jackie Trent songs, especially Don't Sleep in the Subway - I'll stop and let others have some fun.

I just noticed I was called a WUSSBURGER -- and then stupidly quoted it and said "Love that!"
I don't love being called a WUSSBURGER - nor am I a WUSSBURGER. I've now been up since 5:30 this morning. if that's a WUSSBURGER, then you're a pickle. (It's all I could think of suddenly.) A kosher dill.

My senility had reared its ugly head once again - for some reason as I was writing the notes I thought it was Thursday, hence the topic instead of What's in our CD DVD players. We'll do that tomorrow. Of course, it was Thursday when I actually wrote the notes. It's SO confusing.

I remembered why I can't sleep. I had a Starbucks frozen mocha-fudge bar whilst watching CSI this evening. It was just enough caffeine to keep me from drifting off now. I am trying some warm mlik...perhaps that will help.

Just a quick note to say hello. I must wash my oatmeal bowl and make some photocopies before beginning the workday. I will ponder the question of the day and while I'm doing that I will listen to Michael Feinstein Remember (the Irving Berlin album) and one of his first albums (if not the first) Pure Gershwin and then Johnny Mathis This Heart of Mine.

We will be on LI for the long weekend. Don't know if we will watch anything.

If I may sneak in a question for BK. I was just over at Amazon, looking at Liz Callaway's ANYWHERE I WANDER CD. Do you know why the cover has changed?

DRDIT, I lodged a complaint with the new Fynsworth Alley powers-that-be at the time of the switch, since all recording credits (including mine!) on the back of the original cover had been removed. Of course at the time it was my vanity that was pissed off, but I've come to believe it was an attempt to remove BK from the cover.

JEWISH THIGHS Alert! Saturday night was chosen over Friday because DRPennyO has two shows on Saturday, and it was felt that a social night was better for Saturday so that she and DRJose would be in fine fettle for the Saturday shows. If DRs wanted to come in for the weekend, there are other things to see and do on Friday night.

Thanks DRs Elmore and Michael. I much prefer the original cover, and agree that the entire production and orchestrations in particular are outstanding. In fact, the reason I was checking out the CD is because I was playing it over the holidays. A friend who was visiting was so moved by the recording that I gave it to her. I may check eBay - I want the old cover, with the proper credits.
