We have a roaring fire in the fireplace.  The weather outside is frightful.

Hmmm
And with that fire going on...
I feel a song coming on.... ;)

All right, you've got my curiosity going...

What does it say on all the "garbage cans" at EuroDisney?  Eurotrash?

 ;)

FYI

Eurodisney does NOT exist anymore -- since 1994 --
It is DISNEYLAND PARIS Resort!

http://www.disneylandparis.com/index2.htm

Now the Resort is managed by a Company whose name is

Euro Disney SCA.

I believe garbage cans at the French Resort have MERDE printed on them.... in ALL languages! :D

Found this at:

" The trash cans all say "Waste please", so I made sure to leave a little bit of my hot dog, chips and coke in case "waste" was a verb and not a noun. I'd hate to disappoint old Walt."

Nope, I won't be disagreeing about the box-office performance of ICE STATION ZEBRA. It was not a success either artistically or commercially.

In fact, after its disappointing performance, VARIETY did an article about how badly recent top box-office draws had done recently. Taylor and Burton were slapped on the wrist for BOOM, Jerry Lewis for a string of low grossing movies, Shirley MacLaine for SWEET CHARITY, Doris Day for CAPRICE (though WITH SIX YOU GET EGGROLL had been a hit), Natalie Wood for PENELOPE, Julie Andrews for STAR, and Rock Hudson was cited for SECONDS and ICE STATION ZEBRA.

I guess it's common knowledge that ICE STATION ZEBRA was Howard Hughes' favorite movie once her became a hermit. He had a print screened almost daily for his pleasure. Maybe it put him to sleep.

The party was low key and fun. I stayed much longer than I had planned. The host had figure skating on in his living room, so I popped in there to watch the women. This was not a great year for female performances despite Messner's triple axel (which was sloppy and unflowing) and Kwan's grace.

As for the men, I second that Matt Savoie really got robbed this year. I'm wondering if the judges weren't having a knee jerk reaction to his performance at world's last year. He finished out of the top ten, and I'm wondering if they weren't anxious to send him back on the risk that he might choke again.

It's always time for a DVD.  I'm watching Ice Station Zebra.

I'm watching TOMMY, the SuperBit edition.  Astounding sound mix.

In my DVD player (actually, now taken out...I just watched it) was the DVD-R of Annie Get Your Gun with Mary Martin, by kind courtesy of MattH!  I'm glad you liked 1776.  Anyway, here's a minature version of what I did for the AGYG cover.  Very simply, it's just the Angel Broadway CD and a picture of Mary as Annie:

OH!!! We're supposed to get some snow tomorrow - just a light dusting.  And then possibly some more on Wednesday.  Then some more Friday-Saturday.

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!

:D

*Of course, it's a little "spooky" that nothing is forecasted for Thursday... Inauguration Day... Hmm...

Glad the show went well, Jose.

I'm watching Moulin Rouge.  They chose the worst POSSIBLE points to put in commercials.  One literaly cut Christian off in the middle of a song.  I mean, can't they hear that it's in the middle of a song?!?  But still, I like the movie...

DR Michael Shayne - Since no one really seemed to answer the question...

I asked BK about what size iPod he got, I can't remember how many GIGs he got, but he got the "smaller" one of the standard sized iPods.

As for ditching your CD collection.... Well, first you have to transfer your CD collection to the iPod, so...  And, then, god forbid, you lose your iPod, or something happens to it... and you had already ditched your CDs...

Most people I know still keep their CDs.  The main purpose of the iPod is portability.  It cannot replace CDs since it will need a source for the songs it stores - and, yes, you can download from iTunes and other places, but not everything is online.

First off, the iPod will never supplant anything.  It's just for fun, and to have a lot of music in one place for when I'm working and/or traveling.  I got the 20gig version, which holds about 5000 songs.  I cannot imagine a scenario when I will have 5000 songs in there.  The bigger one (in gigs not size) is the 40, but that has more memory so you can store photos, too.

DR Michael Shayne:

Back on January 12, 2005, I asked BK:

Quote
BK - So, which model iPod did you get?  A regular?  mini?  How many Gigs?  What color?  Did you get any accessories?  The microphone?  The cool looking earphones?

*And remember, you can also use your iPod as a temporary storage device should you need to backup anything on your PowerBook.

And BK Answered:

Quote
I got the 20gig version, which only comes in white.  I thought about the mini, but I could see no upside or downside to either, and the mini isn't that much smaller.  For now I just have the headphones that came - I may go back and get the dock and the wireless car kit.
