There was an off-Broadway musical show called THE ME THAT NOBODY KNOWS. It was based on a collection of the writings of inner city Bronx kids. While I've never seen it staged, I do quite enjoy the music. The cast featured a young Irene Cara and the late Northern Calloway of SESAME STREET fame.

DR Rodzinski - this show came through Ann Arbor on tour when I was a student there.  I'll see if I still have my program and tell you who was in the road company.

Do you remember the Canoe commercial that featured this seductive, seafaring bit of madness?

Sorry to hear that both DR Rodzinski and DR Ron Pulliam are feeling under the weather.

It was very foggy late into the morning here in SW Ohio and I worried that it would interfere with DR elmore's landing at Dayton International Airport.  Has anybody heard from him?

Last I checked, there was a Bollywood-type theatre beneath the Virgin Megastore in Times Square, showing 2-3 movies. Then there is a big theatre over on the East Side near 59th Street that shows several Indian movies.
Near my office here in Queens, there is a "Little India" type neighborhood with at least one Bollywood Theatre. So I would say there is a good chance there will be something you can watch.

Rodzinski:  I haven't seen "The Boatnicks" listed anywhere (and that means nada), but I have noted that "Million Dollar Duck" is now available on DVD.

I have/had a friend whose favorite cologne was Aramis.

Only trouble was, on him it smelled like Ajax.

I've been going through a bit of rough patch on EBay lately -- virtually EVERYthing I've bid on I've lost.

Odd that...to my way of thinking, since I've been using a bidding service.

I guess there's just a bunch of folks out there bidding more nowadays to counteract the last-second snipers.

Sigh.

DR Ron Pulliam: The Greek was supposed to call on Sunday. That didn't happen, which is par for the course. Thanks for asking, though.

DR MBarnum: As Rodzinski pointed out, there is a Loews theatre on the lower level of the Virgin Megastore in Times Square that has a large Indian/Bollywood audience.

Is the Paris theater still open across from the Plaza Hotel? They show foreign films including, I would assume, Bollywoodl.

Back from endless errands, but everything is done that needed to be done.

No packages once again.  I e-mailed both eBay sellers who are very delinquent - I've heard back from one, who told me he'd been under the weather and hadn't shipped a package that was paid for on Sept. 10.  He's shipping tomorrow, or so he says.  The other seller has not responded.  Very annoying.

The feds are trying to ban cell phone use in cars for teens.  How stupid is that?  They should ban them for EVERYONE EVERYWHERE.  No cell phone use in cars unless there's an emergency - period.  Yes, teens are just as wonky in a car on a cell as anyone, maybe more so, but to target them only is the height of stupidity.

And I hope they NAIL these gas companies - is there anyone anywhere who doesn't think that there has been manipulation.  There should be fines (and heavy ones) and a class action lawsuit to boot.

Truly frightening - unless Patti is the first victim.

Her CD performance I have never been able to get through. The DVD was marginally better.
Bernadette may have a been better choice!

I guess I am the ONLY person in the WORLD who doesn't like SWEENEY TODD.  It gets lonely sometimes, but I have some free evenings when everyone else is at the theatre or listening to the CD.

Evening all!

I hate to say it but I am also having problems with the board in the mornings.  I only have a few minutes to say what I want before I have to head out the door.   When the board is so slow, I have to give up on trying to sign in and just leave.

That's why you sometimes see a visitor around 7AM but nothing gets posted.  It's me.   :-\

MY NAME IS EARL featured so much redneck humor, and it's just not my cup of tea. Yes, he got a tiny degree of enlightenment dealing with his gay ex-classmate dureing the episode, but I expect a comedy to make me laugh, and this one just didn't do that enough.

I saw the overnight ratings were HUGE for EARL compared to what NBC usually runs in that timeslot. That has to have made them feel good. (THE OFFICE had the same tepid ratings it garnered last year.)

I liked "My Name Is Earl" a lot (but not enough to say I "loved" it), but I just don't like (or get) "The Office."  It's like a one-line joke stretched out to an entire series.  "Reno 911," which also is mockumentary-style, is hilarious!

The flowers (except for the Cherry Blossom) are Australian native plants. They have been tamed and Colin does seem to have them under control most of the time. The waratahs do not have a scent. The wattle does.
