But THE STOCK AND BONDAGE sounds like it would make for a great PAGE SEVEN DANCE.

LOST was another superlative effort, as tension-filled and imaginative as any TV show has ever been, I think. And because of the way things were plotted tonight, we got some story filled in from the gaps that were there last week.

LAW & ORDER tonight was a satisfying conclusion to the mother-daughter scam artist plot from last night. Wonderful back and forth between perps and lawyers/cops tonight, and I was never quite sure who was going to come out on top.

I worked on a tax return tonight.  It too was a superlative effort, as imaginative as any TV show has ever been.  :)

I'm on a little later because I just HAD to watch the season premiere of VERONICA MARS.

And the show was every bit as involving as the TV critics had said it was going to be. Great, great mysteries (yep, plural) set up tonight for the season.

Forgive me if I post just for posting's sake.  I see post #400 coming close in the distance.  I'm almost 80% of a God.

DR Matt - I think that when the client gave us the info, he was definitely high... or at least he estimated the deductions on the high side.

But I didn't get to finish the DVD of SHALL WE DANCE which will definitely be taken care of tomorrow.

I also have the rest of Garbo's CONQUEST film to finish; more than an hour of it to go.

I mean, his wife's bag of used shoes had a value of $1,200???  (We had to bring down his charity deduction just a little.)

400 doesn't really mean anything, but it is something to shoot for.  There Is "the 400 Club."

And that lyric in PINS AND NEEDLES "The 400 love to sing it"  (or is it "swing it") in "Doing the Reactionary."

No stocks?  Then you'd better start to post, young lady, or I shall have to horse whip you with an actual horse.

And here's another thing - what the HELL is going on?  It's eighty-five degrees out right now.  Today it was in the high nineties.  I thought summer was OVER.  And I hear tell that Chatsworth is on fire.

Or is that the same 400 as in the 400 Club?  Anyway, I made it.  Only 100 posts left before HHW Valhalla.  :)

Anyway, if I thought I was fooling anyone in the office up until now, I may have given it away when I said that that guy's wife's bag of shoes wouldn't be worth $1,200 unless they were the ruby slippers themselves.

That procession to post #400 took forever, but at the slow speed I type, that was my version of a frenzy.

Hmm..  THE HORSE WHIPPERER.

I bet if I googled that, it'd be a title of a MISTER ED episode.

I thought of trying to make Godhood by Rosh Hashanah.  That would be sort of neat.

But don't worry, I'm not going to try to do 100 posts all in one night.  I promise.

You see, I'm not pushing it.  This could have been three posts if I were pushing it.

But as all of you Gods are my witness, I will be an HHW God by the time of the HHW dinner on Oct. 5th.

Well, it's quite late for me, so I'm going to head for the bedroom and try to get some sleep.

Hope everyone has a good rest of the evening/morning.

Good night/morning, all.

Good night, Matt.  Thanks for the encouragement to aim for Godhood.  That's what it's all about, isn't it?  (a COMPANY reference)

Well, if I'm going to do 90 posts in 7 days, I'd better get some rest.  Maybe some training.  Cracking my knuckles and soaking my fingers in Palmolive.  That'll have the added benefit of making my fingers look younger.

Off to bed.

That was wasteful.  That last sentence should have been a separate post.

So now, really, I'm off to bed.  Good night, all.

The auditions today started off on a very high note.  In fact, I got a little star struck right off the bat.  The first person we saw today was Christianne Noll.  She had just come up from DC where's she's currently appearing in the season opener for The Washington National Opera.

Well... It took me a few measures to get her first song under my fingers, but I believed I recovered well enough by the time we started her second song.  In any case, it was a great way to start the day, and we had nary a dip in the quality of people that came in throughout the morning and afternoon.

We finished around 6:30.  A long day, but a very good one.
