For those who watch THE APPRENTICE: MARTHA STEWART, I'm not sure if you saw the news yet, but NBC has moved it to Wednesday night at 9 p.m. (opposite LOST on ABC). The new drama E-RING then slides down to 8 p.m.

Daffy Duck would be SO proud! That's my favorite expression of his, and I've used it often (though not on DR MBarnum).

Jose: Jared and TJ may end up being at Splash again tonight. What a coinkydink, huh? I told them to look for us if they do show up.

Cool!  And one of my "friends" may be meeting us there tonight too.

:)

*And I suspect we'll be quite the motley crew when we enter Splash.  I mean, as soon as DR MBarnum enters, I'm sure the sound system will go silent, all heads will turn, and...

I also read something cryptic that Fox is bailing on KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL, but I haven't read any official notification of that on the net.

Off to see what I can find out.

The alarm woke me out of a deep sleep this morning since to me it was 4:00.  By 8:00 I was at the NIH.  Since then I have only had one of my appoints and am waiting for my exam with tests the rest of the day.  If only I had know they were going to change my schedule I could have slept another hour.

I'm at the computer in the waiting room of the clinic.  While here I saw a friend I made last year.  We now have plans to meet in DC (I'm out 2 hours before she is) to go to the WWII War Memorial and have dinner.

Time to go

For all our various and sundried HHWers which I will have the greatest of  pleasure to spend Tuesday and/or Wednesday with,

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT AND REQUEST

Since Vicky is 12 and just starting to be allowed on the internet She is  being strictly warned about sharing personal information and meeting people that you only "met" online etc etc etc

I DID NOT MEET YOU ONLINE

(ok I am a hypocrite, but a protective mom hypocrite)

You were introduced to me by my longtime friend William Orr, or by mutual friends introduced to me by Bill Orr.  This is not entirely a falsehood as Professor Orr (as Vicky calls him) did indeed introduce me to this here site.

The subject may never come up but if it does..... I appreciate your cooperation.  12 year olds are still creatures of black and white distinctions, we're working on the shades of grey.....

I didn't find anything about KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL, but I did see that Denise Richards' new sitcom "Love, Sex, and ?" has been canceled by UPN after one airing.

However, the internet is running very slowly for me this morning. I'm going to log off for awhile, get cleaned up, and when I get back on-line, maybe things won't be so clogged on the information superhighway!

DR Jane - Enjoy your time in DC.  -I was working just three blocks from the WWII Memorial for a few months - while I was at the National Theatre with Mamma Mia! - and I never made it over there.  Looking forward to your report.

Hey all.  I am so enjoying reading about all the HHW visits and travels.  Keep them coming!

DR MattH, I had not heard that they moved Martha Stewart to 9pm.  That sucks.

I have a question for anyone who watched Desperate Housewives last night.

Something weird happened here.  The show ended at 9:50pm.  And then they replayed the last 5 minutes again and it ended (it started from when alfie was at the doctor getting the prescription).

Now I'm guessing this error did not happen in the US.  But it left me very confused.  Because it didn't seem like any scenes were left out.  I mean everything followed nicely.  I just wonder what happened from 9:45pm to 9:50pm. Does anyone know of any websites that give detailed updates. Or does anyone remember what happened before the scene i described?

Hmm... Well I just called the company manager...  No FedEx package due today as it turns out... Hmm...  But I have been assured it will be here tomorrow...  Apparently, they've been having "issues" with one of the new interns... And it looks like they just had another "issue"... Ah, well...  It's nothing that important... yet...

In sunnier news...  The weather report for Wednesday is now calling for temps in the upper 70s and lower 70s, with partly cloudy skies.  Should be a very nice day for a walk, dontcha think?

DR Jennifer, I watched DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES last night, but what you described did not happen on our broadcast. However, I cannot remember specifically what happened at particular times of the episode. Our telecast of DH goes until 10:01 (ABC does this to keep people from switching off their network and running right into the beginning of GREY'S ANATOMY.)

That has become a common situation on popular US shows - networks either running them a minute or two over the hour (or in the case of NBC, starting ER at 9:59 p.m. so fans of the show have to leave another network early if they're not already on NBC.)

Really annoying but it's the business in show business, sad to say.

So Jose, what are the MUST SEE places in Central Park?

In days of yore, unaccompanied men used to find pleasure in The Rambles. (Or so I'm told ::)
