Good Evening!

I have to say that nothing makes a rehearsal go faster than Matt Bogart in a tank top t-shirt.

Oh deary deary me! Rodzinski's back!

Like Ben, I have mucho catching up to do. Returned yesterday on a redeye from San Jose, where I spent Thangsgiving with TPunk and her mom and also my wonderful Aunt Bea and Uncle Jim. A hectic visit, but fun, and TPunk's mom has no real internet access, so there was no posting. Prior to that I was working so hard at work just to be able to take my days off! So it has been ages, indeed.

TPunk is doing well,  though maybe getting a cold. She's been writing papers for school like crazy. I am pretty good myself after some positive news from a doc (have had some inexplicable irritations of late).

Hope everyone had a good holiday, and I look forward to catching up with the gang.

Jose, is this really a good thing?  I mean, if Matt Bogart is in a tank top t-shirt, wouldn't you want the rehearsal to last as long as possible?? ;)

Hmmm, dream roles.....  I have been pretty lucky, that I have gotten to play most of the roles that I have always dreamed of playing.  Still to go:

George in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?
Sweeney in SWEENEY TODD (the musical, not the play)
Prospero in THE TEMPEST
Sir in ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT/ SMELL OF THE CROWD
Sheridan Whiteside in SHERRY (the musical)
Tevye in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

Isn't that strange?  All but one of the roles I listed are in musicals, and I am not usually thought of as a musical actor.

My parents are flying off to the Philippines tomorrow morning.  And guess who will be driving them to Dulles at 5:45AM?  So...

Goodnight.

Thanks for the word, DR MB.  May seems so very far away, now.

More Thanksgiving travelers accounted for - welcome back DRs Rodzinski & TPunk!

My home computer was still logged into HHW from early this morning, which might have made it look like I was sitting here like so much fish.  But I was really at work, really.  Now, goodnight!

DR MATTH - thanks for the information about the mysterious "a" - anamorphic as opposed to enhanced for widescreen?  Or maybe both if "enhanced" is in the description.  Haven't look for that.

In DVD phraseology, "anamorphic" and "enhanced for widescreen" means the same thing. Some studios use one phrase and some use the other, but both mean that if you have a widescreen TV, the transfer's resolution will be better if played properly.

No TCB, I haven't made a decision on Hildy. I thought I would wait it out a bit and see if my allergy or whatever subsides, but it doesn't seem to be happening so far.

She is such a sweet, well behaved dog....I just don't know....I just don't know.

However, if I never have to sweep up massive amounts of dog hair again, it would be just fine with me! Man that dog can shed!

I watched the laserdisc of HIT THE DECK tonight before network TV shows came on. Always a fun show but oh, brother, is that transfer ratty! Stereo surround sound is excellent, but I can't say as much for the video elements.

BONES had a good episode tonight, but it seems to me they've taken Temperance from a fairly well rounded brainy lady in the pilot to an egg headed scientist almost divorced from the real world now.

spoiler - - -

I found her inability to understand and follow the witness preparation expert's suggestions to be absurdly contrived and demeaning to her intelligence.

And HOUSE had a most involving episode with time shifting forwards and backwards that was a great change of pace for the show and layered the new information in very novel ways.

And what a great twist at the very end! THAT'S going to make for some intriguing episodes to come!

I'm not sure, but I think the crazy Christian woman from TRADING SPOUSES is a guest on Jay Leno tonight.  I think we have our next Clara Peller.

LAW & ORDER: SVU had a child abduction case that turned into something else and again made for riveting viewing. Always love the episodes when Stabler and Benson are a team. They've been breaking them up more lately so multiple episodes could be shot simultaneously to save time and money. But the show always works better when the two of them are together.

I saw an ad for the show during SVU tonight. It's on now, so obviously I'm not watching.

It is possible Mike, that you are allergic to the flea shampoo they used on her at the Humane Society, and not the dog itself.  Try bathing Hildy in a mild dog shampoo, and then see if you notice a difference.
