And, yes, I've been extremely errant and truant and truant and errant.   That just happens sometimes.

I had actually tried to post yesterday - which was my day off - but I just "felt" like staying off the computer and/or looking at a computer screen... My eyes needed the rest.  And I think sleeping till Noon... and then taking a power nap around 7:00 also had something to with my absence.

-Sometimes you just don't know how tired you are until you have the time to be tired.

Absolutely, Jose.  You can go, go, go...and then worry that you're not going enough.  But when you sit back and relax, you suddenly realize you've passed a threshhold and need rest.

Great photos....wonderful set!

And MR BK looks most spiffy in his tuxedo!  What a treat to see all of the celebrities!  Why you couldn't spit backstage without hitting a star!

MBarnum - Some famous Sondheim Bollywood trivia:

Dainty June and Her Bollywood Blondes sang "I Have a Moo Cow" in GYPSY

"Sweet Bolly Plunkett saw her life pass" - sung by Patti Lupone in a current hit revival

"Bolly Moses, natcherly we're punks" from East Side Story

The recent revival of his show BOLLIES featured the great Bolly Bergen

He was mentored by Oscar Hammerstein, who wrote "Bolly High"

Etc.

And the set has a very retro look to it!

Where is a pic of Hugh O'Brian?

Michael Lembeck is not only a handsome man and a fine actor and director, but he was also the answer to a BK Unseemly Trivia question a few months ago.

Michael Lembeck played a former high school football player faking a spine injury on an old MURDER SHE WROTE episode. The beautiful Dack Rambo was also on that episode.

I see that the Margaret Rutherford/Miss Marple films are coming out in a box on March 14th. Also released on that day will be the Hugh O'Brian TEN LITTLE INDIANS.

Michael Lembeck also played a caterer with whom Blanche Devereaux fell in love but scorned because he was "just" a caterer and therefore not good enough. One of the better episodes of the second season of "The Golden Girls," IMHO. At least I think it's from the second season...maybe the first. I can't remember.

Boy, was I wrong! Michael Lembeck never did an episode of "The Golden Girls" in his life. I was thinking of Donnelly Rhodes, who played Jake, the caterer.

See why I got them confused? They sort of look alike, only Donnelly is older looking in this picture. When I thought Michael was Donnelly, I thought, "Boy! He's aged VERY well!"

Ooh! I like Donnelly Rhodes too! I had a big crush on him when he was on SOAP way back in the day.

I heard it was because every time he took a breath, the camera was sucked out of the photographer's hands.

Still! ;D I remember seeing him on TV when I was much younger (and shouldn't have been thinking what I was thinking...but still do)! ;)

He used to be on "One Day at a Time."

As for Chita Rivera's new show...

I saw "Chita... And All That Jazz" a couple of years ago in Richmond.  I liked it a lot.  And she did a ton of dancing - backed up by a mini-chorus of dancing men.  *"Hey, Big Spender!" was FUN-NY!.  With not much book involved.  It was basically a career retrospective/revue.  I thought it was destined for a larger venues, but it peetered out somewhere along the way.
