I did not watch an episode of "Dallas" nor of "Dynasty".
It's amazing that "Who Shot JR?" still means something to me. It's difficult to escape from such things.

I'm sorry to tell you that it was......

SPOILER

Mary Martin! ;D
(She could get a man with a gun, after all!!)

I believe that "Hissing Sid" may have shot JR but that is, I think, an obscure UK reference!

I recall at the opening night of PIAF, they served salad, and the dressing choice was either Vinegrette or Vinegrette Rien.

:)

Very good!
Far fetched but very good!

Coincidence:  I've just been listening to "The Sound Of Music" (OK not the OBC album but the Percy Faith version).
Never seen the charm of Ms Martin myself!

My criminal law final exam in law school in 1981 contained an involved issue-spotter narrative that had many people shooting each other but ended with "Nobody shot J.R."

I didn't do too well on that exam.

An obscure UK reference indeed, because, with the fog, the continent is isolated, as they say over there! :D

In my very early twenties, I dated someone that, as I saw years later, was on the cover of a "film" called DYNASTUD.

I was shocked, I tell you.

Where else on the internet could you find such information?

I read that as DIALASTUD. I thought you had found DR Jose's phone book.

Francois - Just free associating with DYNASTY.  Believe me, the guy was nothing to brag about having dated.

He may well be bragging DR FJL.

Is it still legal to free associate in the USA? I thought that freedom had been taken away as well. Be careful what you post - it will be read!

Tom, looks like you're going to be in NY over Rosh Hashanah weekend.  The New Year in Times Square is always quite a do, with the (matzoh) ball dropping and such.

Ooops.... because there was such a film called DYNASTUD and even DYNASTUD 2 so I thought it could have been Christopher Lance! :)

Francois - I won't comment further.  But it was someone who is on the outside cover of that movie, but long before he ever got into that area of filmmaking.

Shocker when someone who knew I had dated him brought that film to my attention.

This might sound stupid but it's been driving me crazy. What is rice and butter?  I know people put butter in the pot to help it cook.  But do people also mix butter in their rice????

Does an aversion to shows that start with D extend to The Debbie Reynolds Show?  I love the theme song for that one.

Don't remember the show.. Was the song "Dammy"?
Perhaps we did not have it screened here.

I also have not watched "Days Of Our Lives" or the "Dolt and The Dutiful"

Not a complete aversion to "D". I'm listening to Ms Kappelhoff's Christmas CD this morning.

The Debbie Reynolds Show theme song was "With A Little Love, Just a Little Love."  I so wanted a recording of that theme song that  when I found out the Monty Python group had used it as its theme song for "The Attila the Hun Show," I bought that Monty Python DVD collection just to get that song.  (And it turned out not to be the complete song, darn it.)

That's ok! I was just dropping that info after "googling" the internet!
I wonder if they're planning a Dynastud the musical?!
