I also watched a couple more CSI: NY episodes.  One involved the murder of an NYC bicycle messenger.

Now, I think I'm going to rinse out my hot chocolate cup and go to bed.

Good night, all!

Happy New Year to the East Coasters.  I enjoyed the party tonight at Bev's on the River. But it started so early that by the time the band took their first break about 10:00 pm I was ready to go home. So I did. I have showered, put on my sweats and am happily in my recliner.

The food tonight was increadible and there was so much of everything. It was well worth it, but made us all very sleepy.

Well...

I fixed myself a small plate of some smoked salmon, cheddar cheese and Rye-Krisp... And I just came from upstairs where my parents and I toasted with sparkling apple cider... And now I am having a chocolate truffle.  -Starting off 2006 with a little indulgence.

So now I'm here...I actually have a Happy New Year tiara, a horn, and a clicky clack noise maker.

...And as I'm watching the festivities in Times Square...  I still remember my one and only New Year's Eve in Times Square many years ago... I think I was 19 or 20...

The subway fares went up that night at midnight - thus, the tokens (yes, they still had tokens then) I had in my pocket did not work at the turnstiles...  :-\

However, the thing I was most impressed with was just how clean Times Square was the next morning.  Go New York City Sanitation Workers!

...and why does ABC continue their "New Year's Rockin' Eve"... although, this time it's from Hollywood.  Of course, it's "live"... "live on tape" that is.  And most of the artists lip-sync... And they're all celebrating New Year's too... Even though, technically, they're three hours away...

Why?!?!?

Okay, I am all for "the show must go on" and "all that jazz" - but it is time for Mr Dick Clark to STOP appearing on television.

I don't want to see Mariah Carey and her enormous BA-ZOOOMS ever again either......I NEVER did want to hear her...who is buying all these CD's.  I don't care what Soundscan says....how can she sell millions of CD's....what about all the returns?  Are those tracked?

Fantasia Burrino was singing at Aladdin's Casino on one of the News Channels.  Whew! Who is buying THOSE cd's?

Ryan Seacrest....all of the non-entities.

I don't think that's Dick Clark...I think it's Bette Davis.
