Oh, I like the way you talk, JRand

Indiana quote that you may have for 2006:

"Hold her, Newt, she's headed for the rhubarb!"

Never fails to stop a conversation cold!  8)

Is Hillary Duff even really talking?  Sort of hard to tell if her lips are actually moving...  must be all that plastic surgery at botox... at 18!

DRJMK - have we ever confirmed that that suit is the one she was wearing when she walked off the set of NO ESCAPE?  Sure looks like it in that still you have!  And Edna had done a nice job with Frances' hair, too!

The only New Year's Rockin' Eve is here at haineshisway.com.  And I find it very fitting that the haineshisway.com clock is off - we wouldn't be haineshisway.com if something wasn't off.

I've been watching I Do! I Do! with Hal Linden and Lee Remick.  They're not exactly Robert Preston and Mary Martin, but it's still a nice thing to watch.  The direction and choreography for the stage is credited to Marge Champion in the front credits.  I have no idea if they will have the courtesy to credit the show's real director/choreographer - Gower Champion - since Mrs. Champion is merely recreating her husband's work.

I'm currently doing the Lambada (The Forbidden Dance) and may even take a nice toasty shower so I am clean as a whistle when the New Year's ball drops.

Only known still of the day's work Frances Farmer did on NO ESCAPE, before her assault on hairdresser Edna Birge, and subsequent arrest on a parole violation.  Rare still from the collection of FF Archivist, Jeffrey M. Kauffman.

-Hmm... I believe DR MBarnum's underwear was black too.

Low points of my 2005: My parents deaths in July. My "being stuck in NY" while they were declining.

High points: being back in NY, at the BMI workshop and doing Jewish Thighs off-Broadway with Jose, and having so many DR's come see it, and the Kimmel reading right before the show, and the dinner after, with everyone.

High point: my parents' funerals - seems odd, but all the old friends and family and stories and laughs and deli food made festive occasions of those sad days. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

High point: well, um, Hawaii...

High points: 2 very satisfying auditions (my first in many years) in the past 2 weeks. (I think I may be over my mishegas at last.)

High Point: my sister Rikki's son Jeremy got married in Maui back in June - I cut the trip short to get back to my folks, but we had a swell time, and it was a beautiful wedding. Chuck and I sang One Hand, One Heart as the sun set in the west, as those two kidz exchanged rings. Oh, my...

High point: 2 weeks ago, my birthday. My sister Tami had a little party at her house. For the first time in my life, the cake read :Happy Birthday Penny. Just like that, I have my own birthday. We had a really nice time, and the whole family were there.

So many high points in 2005. Many more to all of you in 2006!

Not even a smile???   :D

Bear and Brandi are being very good dogs.  Both are asleep at my feet and haven't moved no matter how loud the booms outside.

Well, folks, it is way past my bed time and I've had a little wine.  I think I shall sleep very well but I need to get up so I can cook a good New Years Dinner sooo......

Good night to all!

I WAS wearing tight black pants, a tiny black camisole, and a white crocheted lace overblouse... right now, I'm MUCH more comfortable in old black velvet pants, a jammy, and a sweater. i just took Rikki's dawg for a walk (I'm staying at Rik's, she's out with her new beau) and had a diet caffeine free coke, and may gobble something delicious before heading off to beddie.
