Watched the last CSI: MIAMI episode on disc 4. It was another 90 minute network episode which I remembered as I watched, but didn't remember it was so long. Anyway, two good cases put to bed and a very taut escaped convict plot that took center stage for much of the show.

I'm waiting for someone to do CSI:  QUOGE.

Did I miss it, or did vixmom never figure out Dan's Quogue reference?

Exactly.  I remember how angry I was when I heard that some broad was foolish enough to try and remake Janet Gaynor's STAR IS BORN.  Sacrilege!

But they added another color to it that the original didn't have, DR TCB - Arlen's music. When you have something new to bring to the table, I can adjust and judge it on its own merits.

But so far I haven't read anything about the new BUTCH CASSIDY being a musical.

'24' was another exciting hour, and I believe the pace of the show is much faster this season than ever before. They'll have to go some to top the non-stop thrills and surprises of last season, but so far, they've upped the ante and delivered in every episode. An amazing show.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER wasn't particularly funny, but it was a sweet and romantic half hour and for a change, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Now that we have a love interest introduced, it'll be interesting to see where it goes.

You're very welcome.  Basically, think formal, but hot weather formal.  Stylish and dressy, but light and breathable.

MEDIUM wasn't as superb this week as it's been earlier this season, but it still held my attention completely and again used a different means to get into the story.

Who else noticed that it was the "Dubois Educational Co." who produced the film Allison was seeing in her head? Funny.

And just checked the weather for the rest of the week...

Tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid to upper 50s here... Sounds like it will be a good day for a run.  -Which sounds like a very good to me after the "rest" I've been taking the past three days... and the big meal I had earlier tonight.

:)

And it looks like it will be a similar weather day on Thursday in San Francisco.

:)

So, tomorrow I'll have COURTING ALEX and CSI: MIAMI to watch along with THE OFFICE which I didn't get to.

That CSI: MIAMI DVD episode was longer than I was expecting, and I got a phone call that took me right up to the start of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, so I'll see it tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing it after all these years.

Isn't "A Wonderful Guy" from SOUTH PACIFIC a charm song?  That's a real favorite too, even if I don't believe a lot of it as the vocabulary of Nellie Forbush.

But is there any way South Beach chic would be acceptable attire for the synagogue porton of the bar mitzvah?  We're flying down in the morning, attending the services, then there's a luncheon at a country club, then the South Beach Chic party starts a few hours later, and we're flying back the same night.  I'm wondering if it's possible to convert synagogue clothes to South Beach Chic just by bringing along a change of sports coat.  Or does it really call for completely different everything?

I think the overture to MAME is one of the all-time greats. I will never forget how excited I was sitting in the audience at the Winter Garden and feeling the electricity sizzle through the crowd as that overture was played. One of my great theater memories (and it was interrupted by applause a couple of times).

Your story, Matt, just reminded me of my first Broadway experience.  My first night in New York, back in 1969, I went to the St. James Theatre to see the all black cast of HELLO DOLLY with Pearl Bailey.  I was so excited, waiting to hear a real Broadway orchestra.  When the magic moment arrived, the house lights went down, and..... the show started.  No overture.  It was still an incredible evening, but I was so disappointed that the show didn't have an overture.

I am very happy to say that my interview with Ms. Diana Darrin (a.k.a Theila Darin) is in the new issue of FILMFAX which will be on store magazine racks in the coming weeks! Just got my comp copies in the mail today...and what is even better is that a nice check was enclosed as well....and boy did I need it!

Oddly enough I posted a photo of Ms. Darin on this here sight earlier today..what a coincidence!

Diana Darrin starred in several Three Stooges short subjects as well as the movies REFORM SCHOOL GIRL (1957), HOLLYWOOD THRILL-MAKERS (1953), UNWED MOTHER (1958), THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN (1957), GIRLS IN PRISON (1956) and lots more fine family entertainment! LOL!

I would be interested in seeing some. I like to see new things..

ONe of hte daytime shows is doing a spoof on a Bollywood movie. Just saw the previews.... What an insult to the genre. Passions is doing it.. I think it is on this week. Both Days and Passions have the same head writer and I am not impressed with his style..  Most can write better than him.
