There is a local brand of chips here in PA, Herr's, that produces a Kettle line that includes a Salt and Vinegar variety. They are incredibly tasty, but leave my lips and tongue feeling like I had been sucking on a bar of lye soap.

Herr's also makes it down to Virginia too.

Hmm... Just checking out Utz's site, and they don't list the Dark Kettle ones their. But I seem them all the time in the stores, so...

And I usually get that "lye feeling" after eating Dill Pickle chips.

*And I have to admit that I did give the Utz Ketchup chips a try... Once was enough for those.

Cilla, they have lutefisk up here that is soaked in Lye.... I wont touch the stuff...

BTW, have any of you had Poore;s GArlic adn Parmesan chips....

I had the same problem watching THE SIX WIVES OF HENRY VIII discussed on an earlier page. I had to run the DVR back a few minutes because I nodded off.
