I'm making up for my lack of posts, and I'm making my 3000th post with this little missive and I believe I am pushing us on to page 5!

Welcome one and all to Page 5.

But, before I go, Mr. Moore, I am available for meeting on Palm Sunday, April 9th. I don't know about Anthony. It's a bit early for him.

10am may also be a bit early for actual brunch in the theatre district but there are plenty of diners around, especially on Ninth Avenue where we can meet and eat. We have the Theatre Row Diner on Dyre Avenue and 42nd Street across from Manhattan Plaza. We have the Westway Diner on 9th Avenue between 43rd and 44th, and we have the Galaxy on 9th Avenue and 46th. Festen is at the Music Box on 45th between Broadway and 8th Avenue so they are all within walking distance.

Am I the only one who discovered the connection between the title of today's notes and the question of the day?  Comden and Green wrote a song called "The Late Late Show" (music by Styne) as the Act One finale of DO RE ME.

DR Ben, FESTEN isn't until 6:30, but I know DR Panni has commitments during the day.  Thanks for all the choices.  We have a couple of weeks to decide and see how many are coming.

Earlier today, I dropped off a copy of the short story redo to my muse, Margaret, who read it and just called to say it was now perfect.  And while I probably wouldn't go that far, what she's right about is that because of those little fixes the entire story now has a focus and likability and warmth it didn't have before - and a point.  We had a similar thing happen in the final chapter of Rewind, where she just wasn't happy with it, and when we finally pinned it down it was a two paragraph rewrite and that rewrite informed the entire feel of the last chapter and, in fact, the book.

Might I just ask where in tarnation IS everyone?  You'd think it was a Saturday night or something, when everyone knows that Saturday night is the loneliest night of the week, hence haineshisway.com is a lovelier than lovely place to be.

I shall now be on my way to the theater, after which I shall return.

I'm here. I've been E & T lately, I had the longest week....did a lot of work getting the old house ready to sell. Unfortunately we uncovered a place that has had termites at some point. So I have to have it treated and repaired before I can sell the place. But everything is out of there and it's clean as a whistle

Today, I was puttering around and decided to clean up the mess the plumber made in a basement room I'm going to have to totally redo.  The carpet was really gross in there so I decided to see how easy it would be to rip it out.  Well, about 15 minutes later I had it ripped out and outside.  My handyman was available to come over and he hauled it away.  This do it yourself is officially getting out of hand!

I think I found evidence of termites in that room too. Sheesh! I've never lived in a house with them before and now I may have 2!  This is crazy.  I'm going to have the termite guy check it out. It's just the drywall in that room and I was going to rip that out anyway because of the past water damage so maybe there is an easy way to take care of it here.

I also made a trip to Home Depot today...(I told you this is getting out of hand) Among other things I got a new mailbox. It's huge and I have a place to put it where it won't look funny.  The mail carrier said it was ok there.  The one I have barely holds a magazine, let alone package. That just will not do. The new one will hold packages and keep them out of the elements

Well, we're supposed to have rain turning to snow tomorrow.  It was so nice today, it will be a bummer if we get any measurable snow

Priscilla and Me, that's the title of my new novel.

I rode the bike for 80 minutes. I've showered and I am now surfing, albeit on line and not in the water (I've never surfed before in my life).

That is all from Chelsea.

Cilla, they should have found the termites in the inspection before you bought the house.

I watched the movie Mambo Italian this evening with several friends. It is a luagh out film. With the exception of Paul Sorvino it was cast with all Montreal actors. Several who I worked with and one that I went to school with.

If you haven't seen it I recommend it.

One of my favourite movies of recent years!
It's funny, unpretentious and makes one feel good!
I'm fond of Ginette Reno and this movie!
Ask DR Tomovoz if i'm not saying the truth! LOL!

... and I wish I could see Mr Sorvino in Most Happy Fella!
