I also made a trip to Home Depot today...(I told you this is getting out of hand) Among other things I got a new mailbox. It's huge and I have a place to put it where it won't look funny.  The mail carrier said it was ok there.  The one I have barely holds a magazine, let alone package. That just will not do. The new one will hold packages and keep them out of the elements

We don't have Home Depot here in France!

We only know Homme Dépôt and Femme Dépôt and they're quite popular with the populace! ;)

Priscilla and Me, that's the title of my new novel.

I rode the bike for 80 minutes. I've showered and I am now surfing, albeit on line and not in the water (I've never surfed before in my life).

That is all from Chelsea.

Living in Chel-sea should make surfing easier! :-\ :)

Cilla, they should have found the termites in the inspection before you bought the house.

The problems is I didn't find any evidence of them until I ripped off the wallpaper.  The termite inspection said it didn't cover what was beneath the wall covering.  I actually joked about it with the banker, they had so many things that it didn't cover, that it was insane. I'm going to follow up with them and see if I have any recourse, but since it was totally hidden by wallpaper that's been there a long time, I don't think I'm going to have much luck

It seems to be confined to the room that used to be the garage. Pretty goofy, other than the drywall, it's all cement. So they really couldn't have gotten too far from there.

I found out the neighbors next door are selling their house as soon as their new house is finished.  So if anyone wants to move to Sioux City and be my next door neighbor.......

Don't everyone volunteer at once....that would be unseemly

James Taylor is coming to Sioux City. My brother and I did the two people trying to get tickets from ticketmaster at the same time and buying whoever gets the best seats. It's a good thing we did. The Orpheum holds 2500 people....it sold out in 12 minutes!!!!!

For those of you who may wonder who Ginette Reno is (Oh, yes! I saw the expression on your face! Yes! I did see it!)

http://www.ginettereno.com/

No, she does not live in Las Vegas (Reno, Vegas! get it?!) It's THE OTHER Canadian singer who does! LOL!

The... skinny one! Because Ginette does not know skinny but she's a bundle of warmth and friendliness!

Vibes to you, Cillaliz, for possible recourse for your house troubles.  Or at the very least, that they can be solved with little expense.

Is there any sense from what you've seen that the former owners simply had to have known about the termites?

Or am I trying to think legalistically where there's no legal recourse?

I'm probably betraying my lack of knowledge about real estate law.

Real estate taxes I sort of know just a tiny bit about, though.  :)

I reviewed six returns today, a couple of which were real messes.  I think I like preparing returns more than reviewing them.

Speaking of infectious - What work does the line "My infection for you grows with each passing hour" (or something like that) come from?

This is not a trivia contest, I'm just wondering where that line comes from.
