I like playing Babble.  It's like Scrabble, except you pick 72 tiles and you have to form long, run on sentences that don't have a point.  I'm pretty good at it.

Well I most definitely live in Canada! :)

All I am telling you guys is what I know.  What we call bacon here is the same thing you call bacon in the US.  And as for Commonwealth Day, it is most definitely not a holiday celebrated here.  There is a chance it is celebrated in other provinces.  But as I said I have not heard of it.  And when I did a search on "commonwealth day" it showed that it is a holiday in the UK.  Perhaps technically since Queen Elizabeth is our queen, then i suppose it is our holiday too.  But it's not one celebrated at all, at least not in Quebec.

Has anyone heard from DR Danise?

No and there is no answer at her house.  I am trying to call now.  No answering machine either. Hmmmm.  I'll try her cell.  Ok, I left a message on her cellphone voice mail.

Quebec! Well that explains it.  That's not Canada, that's France!    ;D

I just got back from the office, my accountant and Rodgers & Hammerstein, where the folks are buried in Irving Berlin's show FACE THE MUSIC.  I'm still on page 1 and slowly catching  up!  [move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HEALTHY VIBES TO HARVEY SCHMIDT!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[/size][/move]
DR Matt H, I love Harvey's music a lot, and adore him as a person.  I'm so flattered to be on his Christmas card and "special" list, which includes things like his "forty fingers of Harvey Schmidt" CD, which Kritzerland released.  Don't you thnk it's a lot of fun?
I always thought Goodspeedshould have brought their production of THE HAPPY TIME in to New York, but they needed a bigger leading man than Joe Masiell.
You must, you really MUST, now take in his scintillating performance as "Pockets" in "Hatari."
Joe Bova!
Loved him in WHO? (called ROBOMAN on video) with Elliot Gould and Trevor Howard. His performance makes the movie.
I only remember Joseph Bova from ONCE UPON A MATTRESS (the tv show!) - and thought he was great.  I seem to remember him on a cast album....was he in 42ND STREET with Carole Cook?
And there was a very funny commercial he did a LONG time ago, too, was it for AlkaSeltzer?  Hmmmm....
I bought the original cast album (there apparently have been no others.) ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY CD yesterday, at Barnes and Noble in Westlake Village. Boy, that Cy Coleman could spin tune, couldn't he. A very young Kevin Kline is on said cast album - in a role that pretty much put him on the map. And Imogen Coca has a great turn in REPENT! Actually, I like that song so much, I may start using it. Comden and Green at their hilarious best!
I love On the Twentieth Century!  Up until a few years ago, there was an annual AIDS benefit here in Olympia that I performed in.  One year, I actually sang "Repent" (with tongue planted firmly in cheek, of course) and got a great round of applause (not a standing ovation, but still quite respectable).
My VCR is working now so I am no longer crabby.
But I have decided to invest in a DVD recorder/vhs combo that I can easily (more easily then on the computer) transfer my video tapes to DVD. It won't have all the nifty editing capabilities of doing it via the computer, but by golly at least I should work better ....(my ability to transfer from VHS to DVD  via my computer has not worked ever since Best Buy replaced the dvd burner).
