How are you feeling Jane?  I finally caught up today and found you had been feeling poorly...  I hope you are all better now.

From CharlesPogue:
Quote
Jane, watned to respond to your question a few days ago about how Tewkes reacts to the deer.  Most of the time, he so busy with his nose on the ground, sniffing out their spoor, he doesn't notices them half the time when their 20 feet away staring at him.  Of course, when he does spy them, he gets excited; variously just staring at them with fixed intensity and whining.  When they move he does bark and strain at the leash, wanting to run with.  Given his white plume of a tail, he thinks he, too, is a white-tailed buck.  Of course, the other day, when 15 crossed our path, he couldn't help but notice them.

Thanks for the taking me along on a visual tour of Tewkes  walk-so cute. ;D

Can I get a virtual body, redesigned to my specifications please?

Of course.  That would be in keeping with those who wish to keep their ID a secret.  :D

As I watched BRIEF ENCOUNTER this weekend on TCM, I remembered that Wendy Wasserstein said in a couple of interviews that it was her favorite movie......

Tonight on TCM at 11 pm EST (or so) is Miss Jeanette MacDonald in SMILIN' THROUGH - which is one of my very favorites of all her films.  In beautiful color, co-starring with her husband Gene Raymond....

Norma Shearer did an early talkie version of the story which is also very good....but Jeanette is terrific in a lovely dual role...

Make sure you have a hanky ready!!

Did I mention that I love the movie SMILIN' THROUGH?

Don't miss it - if you've never seen it...unless of course you don't like Jeanette MacDonald or Brian Aherne or romantic-tragic stories....

Vixmom, great photos of you and the Vixter.

Vixmom and Danise, thanks for asking.  I feel less fatigued, otherwise about the same.  I really need more energy this week, there is much still to do before company arrives on Friday and our guest bathroom is gutted on Monday.

Our grocery store has been completely re-arranged and so the trip today was a bit of a trial.  I like the new layout (milk of course still in the back) - but nice new showcases and shelves....

Also found some nice I CHING coin shadow boxes at the Dollar Store - very interesting.  They had eleven of twelve left, so I bought them all, because I am sure that we can sell them for $2 or so at the World of Wisdom.  Very nice......

The source of the Youman's flop THROUGH THE YEARS!  Great score, though.

Larry: The source of the Youman's flop THROUGH THE YEARS!  Great score, though.

And we took the PS Classics Studio Recording Through the Years out of the Lincoln Center Library. It will soon enter our collection of CDs. Not that we will be keeping it and not returning it to the Library you understand. We have every intention of returning it.

Through the Years.

The recording stars many of our favorites including the lovely  Brent Barrett.

About half-way through the addressing of packages - have to go out and buy more shipping supplies shortly, and then I shall finish, after which I'll take a break, then do some writing.

I remember when AOL was only for the C64's and was called Q-link.

I vaguely remember reading about that...

Prodigy Classic was the first Internet provider I had... IT was a dos-based message board and the web browser was miserable
