I think all of LITTLE ME is simply marvelous, and I guess "Here's to Us" is my favorite number though I do like "Real Live Girl," "I've Got Your Number," and "Little Me" a lot, too.

Her lyrics for the PETER PAN songs that she wrote are superb, and apart from "Never Neverland," most of the famous songs that Peter sings in the show have Leigh's lyrics and not Comden and Green's.

I, too, think DEFENDING YOUR LIFE is Albert Books' best movie, but I also like MOTHER very much.

TPUNK, MY BROTHER NIKHIL is a Bollywood movie that came out last year...it is about a swimming champion who contracts HIV and has to tell his parents about that as well as the fact that he is gay. It spans 10 years in the young man's life.

It is one of the two first HIV related Bollywood movies. If you like it and are interested in the second one, MADHOSHI (a remake of PHILIDELPHIA ,but with a woman in the Tom Hanks role) then let me know.

I am very excited to see it, I hope to watch it this weekend during what I have designated as "couch time."

Your description of the films actually reminded me of a conversation I had with someone at GMHC who works in India most of the year on an outreach project to make the public, specifically youth, more aware of HIV.  He said that they were using entertainment as a vehicle- I wonder if either of these films was influenced by that project.

DR TPunk - I hope your young relatives appreciate their first trip to NYC and realize how lucky they are to be able to spend time with you and DR Rodzinski!  Makes me remember, fondly, my first trip to the City the summer I was 16.

DR Vixmom - Is Lestat a family date, or are you going by yourself?  We must have photos, you know.
I am taking the Vixter, I was  a bit concerned it may be a liitle too old for her, but then her cousin who is only a year older was taken in April for her 14th  birthday (and well feted by DR Jose who brought her backstage and got Hugh Panaro  AND Carolee to sing Happy Birthday to her!)   She told Vixter all about it in glowing terms (so any "adult" issues either went over her head or were taken in stride).

So we are off to see it and had the good luck to discover that the lovely and talented  FJL himself will also be in attendance at that performance so I look forward to having  pictures to share with you all.

If I didn't have plans to meet a college friend for lunch Sunday, I'd jump on a plane and go along!

The Vixter seems to be a mature young lady and so I'm sure she will be able to take things in stride.  Also, she might enjoy the character of Claudia.

I just checked TDF to see what was on sale and I am very tempted to purchase a ticket for Awake and Sing for next Wednesday's matinee.

Vixmom - I hope it works out in terms of grabbing a drink or bite (so to speak) after the show on Sunday, BUT if you and the vixter somehow manage to get the opportunity to go backstage courtesy of Jose, even on the spur of the moment, I will content myself with seeing you at intermission.

Does anyone remember the superbowl commercial from a few years back where cowboys attempted to drive a herd of cats across the country side?

That was WAY cool!

Are you a dog lover?

Have you been thinking about getting a new puppy,
but worry that you don't have the get-up-and-go to keep up with a high-energy pet?

Then let "Dogmatic" into your home.

"Dogmatic" will chase your puppy around the house or the yard.

"Dogmatic" will roll around and play with excited young pups.

"Dogmatic" will make sure your pup uses the paper you put down until he's housebroken.

"Dogmatic" will even walk your dog on a leash.

Of course, you will have to feed and water your new pet...and you'll get all the benefits of petting and holding your puppy, teaching him to play "fetch", and getting kisses on your face.

But "Dogmatic" will spare your energy levels so that you aren't too tired to go to your doctor's appointments, visit your siblings in their rest homes AND will keep your pet company while you take your naps.

"Dogmatic" -- the best thing to happen to tiring pet lovers EVERYWHERE!

"Dogmatic" -- a pet lover's dream come true!

DR MATTH - both DD's Third Season and the Special are scheduled to ship on June 7 - I thought that was the day they were both released.  Time will tell.

Thanks, JRand.

I don't know if I'd seen all of them before or not.  I knew such stills existed, but never dreamed a near-mint set would ever come my way.

My one concern, does Claudia's fate follow the book's storyline?

From TPunk
Quote
She hasn't really lived at home for some time and I don't think it's a question of age- she's 25 only 3 years younger than me.  Folks who know us both have said in the past that I should just wait for her to mature.  But recently I've come to realize that we are just very different people, and that we relate to people in a very different way.

It must have been tough growing up with an older sister who is perfect.

Yes, but I didn't find it particularly graphic onstage.
