HAHAHAHAH!  Youse all crack me up!

Ron--Golddiggers of 2004 shirts?  Oh wow, I LOVE the idea.  I'll leave it up to Andrea to have it made!  And for her and Emily's shirts it can say underneath: Only Americans need apply.  Which will leave out the Sultan of Brunei.  *Sigh*

Jed--buy those tickets!  Come and meet us gals!

LC--can we meet you too, huh?  And, uh, have a fun "non-alcoholic" soireé at your apartment??

Emily--your piano bar wish is going to come true!  I am SO taking you all to Marie's Crisis with me where we will proceed to sing showtunes all night!

Believe me, if my checking account would allow it, the tickets would already be purchased!

How I'd love to join in on the NY trip..
The only time I really spent in NY that wasn't as an infant was when I was on a choir tour, and I'd lost my wallet...so it wasn't a picnic, but I'd totally love to visit and see shows sometime...I'm jealous of you guys :)
I am currently doped up on NyQuil, so forgive any incoherencies.
Christmas presents...I don't know what I'd ask for myself...I'm hard to shop for.  I have a lot of gifts I'd GIVE to people, if I had the funds...but oh well.

I just read that Blake Edwards will be receiving an honorary Oscar this year. I think it is a VERY deserving choice.

FINALLY!!! It may be surprising to learn that Blake Edwards has only received one oscar nomination in his entire career. That was for screenplay adaptation for Victor/Victoria. he never received one as director despite such wonderful films as breakfast at Tiffany's and The Days of Wine and Roses. He was primarily a comedic director. Maybe next year he'll get a Kennedy Center Honor or AFI award both deserved!!!

DR Ron - you are correct, I am trying to corral a Trojan Horse!

And remember girls - that's the great thing about a bear trap - you don't have to catch a lot of them....just one big one.  And there is NO Mr. Cadillac.

I love that movie. When I grow up I want to be just like those women!

But there is a Mr. Bombardier!

LOL DR Andrea!

I ordered a 2-DVD set called Best of Broadway (which it's not) but it has "Royal Wedding", "Happy Go Lovely", "Perils of Pauline", and "The Pajama Game."  Cost: $7.49!

How did PG get in there with all those eminent domain titles?

Good evening all.  Sorry I didn’t post last night or this morning. Had another attack and was not well.

A Very Happy Belated Birthday to Michael Barnum!  Sorry I missed out dancing the horta.  I don’t know what that is –the only Horta I know is from Star Trek and I don't think it danced to well.

all the HHW women are engaged to Mark and I lol

Really?  Was that in the rules when I signed up for the board?  What page/paragraph is that written, please?

So far as a Christmas present for myself, I can't tell you what I want.  You would laugh.  No, it's not my hair back.

I wouldn't mind a trip to NYC myself.  It seems like everyone I talk to from the gal in the Chinese restaurant to one or two down at work are going.  Sigh.  Someday.  Maybe in even in May of next year.   :)

Where the Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" is everyone?  I don't think there have been more than three other people online every time I've visited today.

What's happening?  Where's it happening?  What's being done to whom and how are they enjoying it?

Is everyone offline and furiously sending messages back and forth to François who didn't even say goodbye, adieu or ciao????

Is everyone online elsewhere and furiously doing their Christmas shopping?

DR Laura:  Vickie thanks you, thanks you, thanks you....

Sorry she has been so slow in getting me to tell you how much she adores the present!  She doesn't mention the past, and I don't think she concerns herself much with the future.  But the "present" was GREAT!

Danise, my dear, it's the hora, not the horta.  If you've ever been to a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, you'd know what it is.  No one actually knows how to do the hora, but when Jews congregate for joyous celebrations (they're called simchas), horas happen.  Oftentimes, spontaneously.

DR Danise - sorry you're not well. Hope you WILL be well soon. As for the "horta" - it's the "hora"... A dance performed by Jews at most group functions which involve over-eating, celebrating and bad Klezmer bands. You dance around in a circle, crossing your feet diagonally in front and behind until Uncle Moishe starts to hyperventilate. It's fun and very simple to pick up. Rent "Goodbye Columbus" and look at the wedding scene. (I think... I haven't seen Goodbye Columbus in years and I wrote the above on autopilot, so I'll just assume my subconscious knows something I don't.)

The Horta was performed on Star Trek Classic.  Specifically, to rock music...silicone based.   8)

We all need limericks!

The one that instantly comes to my mind was written late one night a few summers ago by a group of us summer stock actors, about another of our troupe...

There once was a man named Demuth
Whose nature was rather uncouth
Until one fine day
He was carted away
For improper relations with youth.

DR Maya: I also love the idea of those shirts. It would be a hoot if you all got matching shirts and wore them.

How about some more options :)

DR Emily: the price of the wicked cd at amazon.ca has gone down a lot in the last few days. $1 a day. Now it's at 16.99$. I honestly cannot figure out why. They have had to adjust it in my account, every day :)

I will say this though, the people I have been dealing with the past few days there are not the brighest. Oy.
