Derek Metzger is from New Zeland.  He played the lead in the Autralasian production of "Me and My Girl".
He has a Cd availabe (maybe still) "Me & My Songs" which is a collection of the usual suspects but pleasant listening. I don't think He and OzDerek ever met but nothing would surprise me knowing the network of people known to young Derek.

I guess I should have read the next post before posting. This is the one I have.

vixmom -  It must be some other Skip.  I can't imagine they used any of his music without letting him know.

How very sad about June Allyson. I almost watched GOOD NEWS over the weekend, but since I had watched THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT III (which features Allyson as one of the on-screen hosts), I guess I paid a little tribute to her before she left us.

Besides, in anything Skip did for Disney, he was known as "Walter Edgar Kennon" at that time.

Hmmm, maybe that didn't sound very good.

I watched DECEIT tonight. I guess it's not fair to feel proud of guessing one of the major twists from the very subtle hints bk threw out during the months of writing and production of the play.

But I was still pleased I got it before the revelation.

spoiler

I didn't see the final twist, however.

Oh I already don't...that is if your speaking of little Boo.  She followed me everywhere tonight when Callie was behind closed doors. She curls up with me and purrs.  She picked me and when I thought I may actually lose her, I knew she wasn't going anywhere

Tomorrow I will rewatch DECEIT and listen to the commentary track which should be a lot of fun. I thought Matt and Bruce did marvelous jobs with their parts.

Because of DECEIT's very compact running time, I had time to watch several MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW episodes including the classic where Mary and Rhoda try to co-produce a Sunday talk show starring Ted and Sue Ann. Of course, all ends in disaster even before the show got on the air.

Sorry, yes, I meant Boo.  It made sense to me when I wrote it!

THE CLOSER had an unusual episode with the squad having to tiptoe around an investigation due to some bad decisions made by Flynn and Provenza. A little bit different for the show and a nice change of pace.

First time we've REALLY seen Brenda angry, and that scene was a lulu.

And then I watched the CSI: MIAMI rerun. It was a reairing of the fourth season premiere episode which I had only vague recollections of. More crime drama than mystery tonight, not my favorite kind of episode.

The Cartoon Network is playing episodes of PEE-WEE's PLAYHOUSE starting tonight. I did watch this show occasionally during its original run, but I'm pleased I'm going to be able to see all 40-something episodes of it now over the course of the next weeks. Campy fun with some famous guest stars and a cast of regulars (like Larry Fishburne, Phil Hartman, and S. Epatha Merkerson) who became famous later.

Glad to read Matt's thoughts and will look forward to his thoughts on the commentary track.

I got an early copy of the Amazing Stories DVD.  It will be interesting to see if any of these shows, most of which I thought were not very good, have aged well.

Matt's coming over shortly to pick up his DVDs.  Then I have to do the phoner with radio DJ Gregg Hunter.

I woke this morning to the news that the Free Advice Lawyer that has recently helped a young friend of mine, was shot Dead last night.  My friend lives only a few hundred yards from where the shooting took place. The lawyer had returned late to the office with his son to do some photocopying and disturbed an intruder.

Good Evening!

Nothing really more to report since earlier this evening.  I just ended up spending the evening in here with my roomies watching TV and gossiping.  A rather fun evening.  -So who else is watching "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency"?  ;)

Well, I'm hoping/planning to get an early start tomorrow, so...

Goodnight.

My "Deceit" DVD arrived today!!  I got home and went to my sister's for a little bit and watched "Kyle XY," which I hadn't seen before.  I then went to my house and watched Kathy Griffin on Larry King.  I love her!  For the first time, she talked about her divorce from her husband Matt (which became final in May).

Now, I'm going to watch "Deceit"...actually, I'm going to take out my contact lenses, put on my glasses, THEN watch "Deceit."

I'll be back after it's over.  Later!
