Good Morning!

Well...

Thanks for all the Vibes!  Truly appreciated and welcomed.

So... I'm about to head out to my production meeting and then from there, I'm off to audition-land.  -I even "dressed up" for today's adventure.  -And I'm still having fun!

Laters...

Good morning!

Overcast here with rain forecast but none arriving yet. In fact, the newspaper five day forecast has rain forecast for each of the next five days. We'll see if it happens.

TOD: It won't be in my personal CD player, but I will be listening once again to nauseatingly bad Vacation Bible School music. "Jesus Loves Me" to a bad techno beat.

I've had a weird morning. I've been having some "flutterings" where my appendix is (never been removed), so I've been wary this morning monitoring those feelings. No pain, just strange sensations. I skipped my usual workout so as not to aggravate the condition. We'll see what happens with this as the day progresses.

Instead of the usual exercises, I watched an episode of THE WILD WILD WEST this morning (gazing at Robert Conrad in his prime is a pleasant workout in itself, and in this episode there were two of him.)

Two Robert Conrads.

It presents one of those scientific conundrums: If each one had a duracell battery on his shoulder and challenged the other to knock the battery off, could either do it? It boggles the mind.

Red Buttons is gone....not my favorite in ANYTHING except Sayonara...where he truly did a fine acting job with Mr Marlon Brando hisself....

Not so hot in HARLOW and FIVE WEEKS IN A BALLOON, etc.

I posted about this yesterday. I had even forgotten he was in THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE until I rewatched it when the new DVD came out a few weeks ago.

I always felt like he was one of those folks that peaked very early and could never quite get it back to that level.

You're right. Quite a conundrum. But I'd pay to see it happen!

Must have missed your post, DR MATTH - sorry.

Hmmmm....not much Buttons action here, maybe everyone was indifferent to him.  8)

I saw Red Buttons perform at the Rainbow Room at a dear friend's 65th birthday party about ten years ago.  It was a special surprise for our friend Charlie, arranged by Charlie's extremely thoughtful wife, since Buttons had also performed at Charlie's bar mitzvah so many years earlier.

And the word of the day is: PALLIATE!
I shall not PALLIATE - when I first tried to make PAELLA, IT was a total disaster.

(What, you were expecting some cheap cannibal joke?)

"Big Brother 7 -- All Stars" is underway and last night's eviction show was interesting.

What was more interesting was what transpired after the show.  Since CBS seriously edits the daily doings, they may not want everyone to know what viewers of the live feed can learn on their own.  So...

SPOILER POTENTIAL!

I did some live-feed watching after last night's show.

First, it takes Big Brother (BB) a long time to reconfigure the HOH bedroom.  Kaysar ("yay") didn't get in until after 9 p.m. PDT. And much in there had been changed, too.

Interesting comments:

Jase -- insists he's "all alone"...unlike the BB6 foursome.  In point of fact, Jase is in a BB5 threesome with Diane and Nakomis.  Jase does not know that anyone knows this...and they've given nothing away.  This revelation came from outside the house and was shared with the BB6 group by Ericka.  With it, the BB6 players have been able to put some things together they hadn't previously connected.

Will and Mike "Boogie" -- spent a bit of time in the hot tub ridiculing the joy Janelle and Howie expressed when Kaysar won and tried to turn Ericka against the BB6 trio (they think James is flying solo) by asking her if she thought anyone would have been excited about "her" winning the competition.  Ericka wasn't convinced, IMO.  The two BB2 "Chilltowners" were braying about how the worm will turn "next week" then "they" gain the power. Will said he dreads the week with the Sesame Street mentality/attitudes that will be exhibited.  Will and Boogie both think Howie is an idiot and they're having fun messing with him.

In the HOH room -- Kaysar is very pleased with how his team is executing their jobs. Howie, for one, gets praise for acting like a total doofus and getting information out of Will and Boogie and acting confused (keeping Will off his guard).

Janelle offered up some valuable insights into several people:

-- Jase: Useful, but untrustworthy.  Not an immediate threat.

-- Nakomis:  Their biggest threat in the house.  All agree with this.  She studies EVERYthing and makes a mental inventory of every room every morning and every time they reenter the house after a lockout.  Janelle, Kaysar and Howie admit they respect her (despite Howie's comments about hating her).  Janelle's concern is that Nakomis is sure to be in the "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" alliance (or, for our purposes, the BB5 trio) and, whether she could be wooed or whether she should be targeted.  Janelle is certain Nakomis has a big crush on Jase.  Kaysar: "How can you tell?"  Janelle: "A woman senses these things." Howie: "Fine!  She can bang him after the show is done!"

-- James:  She made a big deal out of James not being in the room with the three of them.  Kaysar tried to make her understand that James needed to distance himself...that James' role was to gain the trust of the anti-BB6 players and suss out their strategies.  Janelle seemed unconvinced.  She doesn't trust James and did not want to accept Kaysar's reasoning, although Kaysar acknowledged that James is shady.  But, she let it go when James popped in for a few minutes and gave them a briefing on the "running down" they were getting down in the hot tub.

So...yes, everyone is hatching plots and devising schemes.  No idea yet if Danielle is in any kind of alliance with anyone.

And does anyone know if "Chicken" George actually thinks?

Project Runway seems like a good mix of people. The Gary Numan looking faux British guy does seem like a joke, and the tattoo-necked guy is a little hard to look at, but I think the show will hold my interest once again.
