I guess what intrigues me about the Lance Bass thing is why anyone cares. Same with the Christy Brinkley thing.

A SWEENEY TODD warning: the director has staged the piece on a platform as wide as the center seating section of the auditorium so the seats on the side have obstructed viewing by the blocking. I was in the front row on the side, and all I saw of the opening scene between Anthony (all the way backstage), the Beggar Woman who's soliciting him (in the middle of the stage) and Sweeney (down front) was Donna Lynne Champlin, sitting in a chair and blocking my entire view of the scene, which contained no character relationships: the Beggar woman could have been soliciting anybody in the theatre since she didn't relate to Anthony at all. A lot of the viewing was obstructed by the director's lack of keeping the sightlines good, but maybe he preferred it that way.

For curiosity sake, I wouldn't have minded seeing the SWEENEY TODD in NYC now, but I have to admit after seeing so many versions over the years that had large ensembles, I was shocked when the tiny ensemble on TV during the Tonys sang "Swing your razors high, Sweeney" and there was almost no SOUND. That was almost always one of the truly electrifying moments in the show for me, but during the TOnys, it seemed just puny.

My cat sitter stopped in to meet Boo and find out how I have things arranged. I have to admit it's nice to have a professional animal sitter stop in. She has a business called Critter Sitters. I probably would rely on a neighbor kid if Callie didn't need meds twice a day

I watched three more MEDIUM episodes from the Season 1 set tonight.

The one with Ariel dreaming she's a fairy princess which led to the search for a missing girl was a strange episode but not one of my favorites.

Another episode introduced us to Allison's brother just back from the Middle East with a guilty secret he's trying to rub out with liquor. Very affecting episode. I like the actor who plays Allison's brother.

I think it's going to be a late night. The dryer is still going and I have to be packed before I go to bed so I can head out of town as soon as I'm off work tomorrow night.

The third episode had Allison near a breakdown due to dreaming the same dream for weeks on end about two young boys trying to outrun a train. Again, the story came to a very emotional conclusion, a very satisfying one for that story. A second case which she couldn't work on due to her exhausted condition didn't have such a happy ending.

I watched another episode of THE WILD WILD WEST to finish the third disc in the set. This is one that starred Burgess Meredith as a crackpot geologist trying to gain all of Wyoming for himself. Kathie Browne (who later married Darren McGavin) was the love interest in this episode.

And then I watched CSI: NY, a rerun episode that I missed during the regular season involving the Mafia-style Tanglewood boys, a carryover story from Season 1 with Michael DeLuise as the primary guest star. Again, a very emotional and affecting episode, one of the best of the second season.

It Wasn't Meant To Happen (one of my favorite vocals - Michele Pawk - I've ever recorded - magnificent) - obviously it was either sung by Sally or Phyllis. I'm not sure which - it really could be either - somehow it fits both characters.

That's where I went to lunch this afternoon! One person at the table had the "Double Stacker" combo (he had a coupon), and he also liked it. I had my usual Whopper combo with a side salad.
