I did something interesting tonight: I attended an owl release. Two owl eggs had been discovered in June in a bale of hay and were turned over to the local wildlife rehab unit. The eggs were given to a pair of barn owl foster parents, who hatched the owlings and raised them. Then tonight, the young owls were released into the desert by the light of the full moon.

However, since I was 'given' two full days off on the boat, I have been enlisted to help with the group check-in tomorrow morning. Starting at 7:00am. UGH! But, then I'll be done at 10:30am, and that will be the end of my work day. I suspect I'll be taking a nap in my stateroom before the boat pushes away at 5:00.
