Re: what DR RonP mentioned about reality show voting.

For Dancing With the Stars you can only vote 5 times this week (per phone line) and 5 times per email address.

DR Cillaliz i will find the voting site for you. I have never gone to it. I merely went to theamazingracesucks.com message boards (the one for dancing with the stars) and some people quoted it). I'll see if i can find the exact website though. It's the same one that they do for american idol.

DR Cillaliz, this is the website. I'm not sure why this week doesn't show anything. Click on "show week with 7 stars" and you will see how popular each one is:

The Vixter has absconded with my Drowsy Chaeprone cd... welll not really absconcded she's only gone to her room.... but she has claimed possession of it and learned all the songs off.  She says her favorite character is "The Old Lady" Ms Engel I presume....!

I must get us in to see it before the cast changes.

Tonight  "the 13th Warrior" came on the tv and even though we own the dvd we sat transfixed.   It is a movie that I never would have thought to have enjoyed if it had been described to me but which has become one of my favorites

I especially  love the campfire scene.

I think it is a wonderly well crafted film that beautifully tells the story of peopel learing to overcome theior differences and respect one naother's cultures, custonms and religions while seeming to be all about fighting a bunch a cannabalistic madmen .

It has great acting and no gratuitous sex, swearing or in your face over the top gore.

opinions?

We have been invited to our friends annula Halloween bash.  Our friends love Halloween and always throws a great party, it used to be adults only but since the birth of their son a couple of years ago, and thier purchase of a lovely large house with a built in ready to hand playroom they have opened it to the kiddies too.  This year they have invited the Vixter to bring two of her girlfriends along and they are all busy planning their outfits.

The ixter wanted to goa s some anime character but er were unable to find a suitable outfitm however while waiting for the AAA to rescue us at the GoodWill last Saturday... (I went to drop off three big bags of clothes, I left the Vixter inthe car and went around the back of the sattion wagon to take out the bags of clothes, leaving my keys inthe ignition, I shut the back of the car and turned around to see the Vixcter standing next to me,  She had decided to get out to help me carry, locking the car door behind her,  my keys and pocketbook safely locked inside)  ANYWAY to kill time waiitng for the AAA to show up we wandered rounf the GoodWill where we found a beautiful light blue formal dress exactly the Vixter's size and for which she already owned the perrect shoes  and it only cost $14!!

So she'll wear that along with my crysTal tiara and crystal necklace and earrings and go as Madame Pompador!

Danny Burstein said the night we saw it there was only one member of the ensemble that wasn't in the original cast.  So, now is the time to go

Ask BK Day:

Do you know (or did you know) an actress in L.A. by the name of CJ Hincks, or Candace Hincks, or sometimes Candy Hincks?  She did a lot of episodic TV in the 70s and 80s.

There was a popular 70s/80s actress named Catherine Hicks. Could you be talking about her? (She was in the remake of VALLEY OF THE DOLLS.)

I can’t stay & visit until our company leaves on Friday, but I just had to share…….

Keith put the camera up to our land telescope today & took this photo.

There should be a fantastic photo here, not:

Well, according to Simon, AMERICAN IDOL is a "singing competition" as he repeats countless times each season. As such, that's how I judge the folks who are the contestants.

I watched 30 ROCK tonight, and I'm glad I went back one more time to it becuase it was funny tonight. Alec Baldwin set Tina Fey up with a lesbian blind date since he was convinced she was gay. The sweet, innocent NBC page beat all the guys at poker, and Alec finally foiund someone who could play in his league.

For the first time tonight, I saw some actual merit in the show.

While waiting for LOST to come on, I watched the Biography Channel's episode on the life of Boris Karloff. Very interesting.

I didn't know he won a Grammy for the soundtrack of GRINCH. And he said it looked like a doorstop so he let his agent keep it holding open his office door.

LOST had a fascinating episode tonight with a sensational Sawyer backstory and more surprises in store for the viewer. Love this show!

And THE NINE has gotten very interesting, too, but I want more of the hostage time. Tonight's few minutes inside were just mesmerizing. In present time, some of the stories are quite involving, but I'm not really all that fascinated by Scott Wolf and his pregnant girl friend. Maybe that will get better.

Hasn't Catherine Hicks been on that tv series Seventh Heaven for the past 10 years or so?

The only other show I recorded tonight was CSI: NY. Since so much of tomorrow night's schedule is reruns (UGLY BETTY, SMALLVILLE, and SUPERNATURAL are new episodes), I may watch it then.

Tomorrow my friend and ex-partner Frank and I are having lunch and then going to see THE PRESTIGE. This is one of the few fall movies I have been looking forward to seeing.

I must be on the road at 6:00 AM to get to the mandatory annual office "outing".  I'll let you know if anyone is outed.  It will be a long day about 320 miles round trip plus the time there during the day. I'll be glad to get this over

Have a couple of movies for my viewing pleasure this weekend: Monsoon Wedding and Bride and Prejudice. Not sure which one I will watch first. A grad student who comes into the library all the time loaned them to me.

Are we DR's sure this is an actual word or just a typo due to a bandaged finger?

AT first I thought he visited the state map of Minnesota...
