Thanks for the link to the Soul "Don't Give Up On Us".

It brings back a flood of memories.

Ethel Mae Potter is big all over!

What's for lunch in the rain, DR RLP?  We are having chili today.

Maybe that would be a nice song for Mr Guy Haines to consider for his unplugged CD.

Dunno yet.  It may be a fish special at the local eatery called "The Oasis".

Or...it may be "Meat Loaf Thursday" at the Oakland Museum.

The deciding generally happens when walking out the door.

I've put in vacation requests for my last two management days off for CY2006.

I'll be taking Monday off (floating holiday, it's called) and I'll be taking Nov. 13th off (paid leave, it's called).  With Nov. 10th as a holiday (Veterans Day), I'll have a four-day weekend following a four-day work week that followed a three-day weekend.

Two weeks later and I'll be on my annual three weeks' vacation for my trek to South Cackalacky to spend the holidays with family.

Regarding David Soul, his follow up song which was not a hit here but was MASSIVE overseas is called "Silver Lady," one of the catchiest songs you'll ever hear.

And Hoosiers like JRand might enjoy these lyrics:

C'mon Silver Lady take my word
I won't run out on you tonight, believe me
I've seen the light, it's just one long fight
Without you

Here I am a million miles from home
The Indiana wind and rain cut through me
Lost and alone, chilled to the bone
Silver Lady

I also knew that John Travolta had a few songs out there also

How are your EBAY sales going, DRMBARNUM?

Well, they haven't started paying for my vacation yet! But I am making enough to cover the cost of the movie stills I bid on to use for upcoming interviews! LOL!

Okay, BK, I'll cut him some slack on the B'day, simply because you knew it was a conflict before he was cast and committed.

Ah, the Fabulous Fox Theater in Atlanta. I saw Richard Harris in CAMELOT there.

Thay's my favorite theatre EVER! I was really happy when The Fox invited us to premiere our "Ociee Nash" movie there as the kick-off film for their summer series.

Here's opening night...it was sold out! Van Dyke Parks and I are in the crowd somewhere. And Mr. Grant Geissman was there, too....on the soundtrack.

David Soul:  Eek!  the Narrator in the Australian production of "Blood Brothers" .

"Don't Give Up On Us" was a big hit here as were "Silver Lady" and "Going In With My Eyes Open"
